Dans les eaux du Nord, MV Nor Viking avance avec une particularité spectaculaire : elle n’attend plus les grues du port. À bord, un SENNEBOGEN 875 E de 390 kW transforme le navire en véritable terminal de manutention autonome.

Installée sur un portique mobile, la machine se déplace le long des cales et atteint jusqu’à 26 mètres, plongeant au cœur des quelque 11 500 m³ de capacité pour charger ou décharger vrac et bois, même dans les ports dépourvus d’infrastructures lourdes.

Son énergie provient directement du réseau électrique du navire. Silencieuse, sans ravitaillement en carburant et protégée contre les conditions marines, la machine associe motorisation électrique et système Green Hybrid, avec jusqu’à 35 % d’économies d’exploitation annoncées.

Dans sa cabine élévatrice, l’opérateur domine à la fois la cale et le quai. Un changement de configuration suffit pour passer du godet à grappin à bois : le Nor Viking devient ainsi un outil logistique particulièrement flexible.

Le concept a convaincu. Après l'expérience du premier navire, Arriva Shipping a commandé deux sister-ships équipés du même système.

In the northern waters, the MV Nor Viking is making its way with a spectacular feature: it no longer waits for port cranes. On board, a 390 kW SENNEBOGEN 875 E transforms the ship into a truly autonomous handling terminal.

Mounted on a mobile gantry, the machine moves along the holds and reaches up to 26 meters, plunging into the heart of the ship's 11,500 m³ capacity to load or unload bulk cargo and timber, even in ports lacking heavy infrastructure.

Its power comes directly from the ship's electrical system. Silent, requiring no refueling, and protected against marine conditions, the machine combines electric propulsion with a Green Hybrid system, promising up to 35% savings in operating costs.

From its elevating cab, the operator has a commanding view of both the hold and the quayside. A simple configuration change is all it takes to switch from a bucket to a timber grapple: the Nor Viking thus becomes a remarkably flexible logistics tool.

The concept proved successful. Following the experience with the first vessel, Arriva Shipping ordered two sister ships equipped with the same system.

An onboard crane, a ship without dependencies: the MV Nor Viking represents a new generation of cargo ships capable of arriving, handling cargo, and departing—almost entirely autonomously.

In de noordelijke wateren vaart de MV Nor Viking met een spectaculaire eigenschap: ze hoeft niet langer te wachten op havenkranen. Aan boord transformeert een 390 kW SENNEBOGEN 875 E het schip in een volledig autonome laad- en losterminal.

De machine, gemonteerd op een mobiele portaalkraan, beweegt zich door de ruimen en reikt tot 26 meter diep. Zo kan ze in het hart van de 11.500 m³ grote laadruimte van het schip bulkgoederen en hout laden of lossen, zelfs in havens zonder zware infrastructuur.

De stroom wordt rechtstreeks geleverd door het elektrische systeem van het schip. De machine is stil, hoeft niet te worden bijgetankt en is beschermd tegen de omstandigheden op zee. De combinatie van elektrische aandrijving met een Green Hybrid-systeem belooft een besparing tot 35% op de operationele kosten.

Vanuit de verhoogde cabine heeft de machinist een perfect overzicht van zowel het ruim als de kade. Met een simpele configuratiewijziging kan de Nor Viking worden omgebouwd van een grijperbak naar een houtgrijper: zo wordt de Nor Viking een opmerkelijk flexibel logistiek hulpmiddel.

Het concept bleek succesvol. Na de ervaring met het eerste schip bestelde Arriva Shipping twee zusterschepen die met hetzelfde systeem waren uitgerust.

Een kraan aan boord, een schip zonder afhankelijkheden: de MV Nor Viking vertegenwoordigt een nieuwe generatie vrachtschepen die vrijwel volledig autonoom kunnen aankomen, laden en lossen en vertrekken.
