Atlas Copco acquiert trois spécialistes des compresseurs

Atlas Copco a réalisé trois acquisitions en Allemagne et aux États-Unis, en rachetant Pacific Sales & Service, Zahroof Valves et Druckluft-Technik-Nord. Le prix de transaction pour chaque acquisition n'a pas été divulgué.

Fondée en 2010, Zahroof Valves conçoit, entretient et assemble une technologie de vannes à compression alternative, utilisée dans les secteurs du pétrole et du gaz, du traitement chimique, des gaz industriels, de l'air et de la réfrigération.

Atlas Copco a déclaré que l'achat de Zahroof Valves, qui a généré 12 millions de dollars de revenus l'année dernière, lui permettra d'utiliser cette technologie dans différentes applications gazières.

Vagner Rego, président du secteur d'activité de Compressor Technique, a déclaré : « Nous pouvons tirer parti de cette technologie pour augmenter encore l'efficacité énergétique de nos compresseurs de gaz, car moins d'énergie est nécessaire qu'avec la technologie de vannes traditionnelle.

« Nous voyons également le potentiel d’utiliser cette technologie pour développer davantage notre offre de produits et de services dans les segments en croissance de l’hydrogène et du captage du carbone. »

Rego a ajouté que l'ajout de Pacific Sales & Service, basé dans l'Oregon, un distributeur de compresseurs, de pièces de rechange et d'accessoires associés, est conforme à son objectif de « se rapprocher des clients et d'étendre notre couverture géographique ».

Zahroof Valves fera partie de la division Oil Free Air au sein du secteur d'activité Compressor Technique, tandis que le distributeur allemand Druckluft-Technik-Nord rejoint Pacific Sales & Service dans la division Service d'Atlas Copco.

Atlas Copco has made three acqusitions in Germany and the US, buying Pacific Sales & Service, Zahroof Valves and Druckluft-Technik-Nord. The transaction price for each acqusition has not been disclosed.

Founded in 2010, Zahroof Valves designs, services and assembles reciprocating compression valve technology, which is used in oil & gas, chemical processing, industrial gases, air and refrigeration.

Atlas Copco said the purchase of Zahroof Valves, which generated $12 million in revenues last year, will enable it to use the technology in different gas applications.

Vagner Rego, business area president, Compressor Technique, said, “We can leverage on this technology to further increase the energy efficiency in our gas compressors since less power is required than when using traditional valve technology.

“We also see potential to use this technology to further develop our product and service offering in the growing hydrogen and carbon capture segments.”

Rego added that the addition of Oregon-based Pacific Sales & Service, a distributor of compressors, associated spares and accessories, is in line with its goal to “get closer to customers and grow our geographic coverage.”

Zahroof Valves will become part of the Oil Free Air division within the Compressor Technique business area, while Germany distributor Druckluft-Technik-Nord joins Pacific Sales & Service in Atlas Copco’s Service division.

Atlas Copco heeft drie overnames gedaan in Duitsland en de VS, waarbij Pacific Sales & Service, Zahroof Valves en Druckluft-Technik-Nord werden overgenomen. De transactieprijs voor elke overname is niet bekendgemaakt.

Zahroof Valves, opgericht in 2010, ontwerpt, onderhoudt en assembleert zuigercompressiekleptechnologie, die wordt gebruikt in olie en gas, chemische verwerking, industriële gassen, lucht en koeling.

Atlas Copco zegt dat de aankoop van Zahroof Valves, die vorig jaar 12 miljoen dollar aan inkomsten genereerde, het bedrijf in staat zal stellen de technologie in verschillende gastoepassingen te gebruiken.

Vagner Rego, president van de business area, Compressor Technique, zei: “We kunnen deze technologie benutten om de energie-efficiëntie van onze gascompressoren verder te verhogen, omdat er minder stroom nodig is dan bij gebruik van traditionele kleptechnologie.

“We zien ook potentieel om deze technologie te gebruiken om ons product- en dienstenaanbod verder te ontwikkelen in de groeiende segmenten voor waterstof- en koolstofafvang.”

Rego voegde eraan toe dat de toevoeging van het in Oregon gevestigde Pacific Sales & Service, een distributeur van compressoren, bijbehorende reserveonderdelen en accessoires, in lijn is met zijn doel om “dichter bij de klanten te komen en onze geografische dekking te vergroten.”

Zahroof Valves wordt onderdeel van de Oil Free Air-divisie binnen de business area Compressor Technique, terwijl de Duitse distributeur Druckluft-Technik-Nord zich bij Pacific Sales & Service voegt in de Service-divisie van Atlas Copco.
