En octobre 2022; Komatsu Europe présentera sa pelle ultra-courte PC228USLC-11 lors de la 33e édition du salon bauma à Munich, en Allemagne. Le PC228USLC-11 propose des avancées en matière de performances de levage avec une consommation de carburant réduite de 6 %, un confort de l'opérateur amélioré, des fonctions de sécurité accrues et des niveaux de bruit dans la cabine à la pointe de l'industrie. Sa conception de cabine arrondie, plus compacte que sur une pelle conventionnelle, lui permet de pivoter dans le rayon de rotation du contrepoids. Le PC228USLC-11 peut facilement manœuvrer dans plus de zones, même sur des chantiers à espace restreint.

Sécurité et confort de l'opérateur

Spécialement conçue pour les excavatrices hydrauliques, la cabine certifiée ROPS bénéficie d'une structure en caisson renforcée. Il est monté sur des amortisseurs d'isolation en caoutchouc pour de faibles niveaux de vibrations. La porte coulissante de la cabine permet un accès/une sortie sans restriction à la cabine dans les espaces confinés. La radio offre des préréglages et une entrée USB auxiliaire pour connecter des appareils externes. Deux ports d'alimentation de 12 volts sont commodément fournis.
Le système d'embrayage visqueux du ventilateur réduit à la fois la perte de puissance et la charge du moteur lorsqu'un refroidissement maximal n'est pas requis. Il réduit la consommation de carburant et contribue à un niveau sonore inégalé dans la cabine, 71 dB(A).
Les manettes de commande proportionnelles sont standard et permettent un fonctionnement précis des accessoires avec confort et facilité. Un arrêt automatique au ralenti aide la machine à réduire davantage la consommation de carburant. L'ajout du système de détection neutre réduit le risque de fonctionnement par inadvertance.
Un moniteur couleur à écran large TFT-LCD haute résolution de 7 pouces offre des fonctionnalités améliorées et affiche des informations en 26 langues pour une prise en charge mondiale. Il fournit des informations sur le niveau de liquide AdBlue®, les conseils Eco, les enregistrements de fonctionnement, l'historique de la consommation de carburant et les informations d'utilisation.

An expert excavator for urban and forestry jobsites on Komatsu’s stand in “2 piece boom” configuration.
In October 2022; Komatsu Europe will display its PC228USLC-11 ultra-short tail excavator at the 33rd edition of the bauma trade fair in Munich, Germany. The PC228USLC-11 proposes advances in lifting performance with a 6% lower fuel consumption, improved operator comfort, increased safety features and industry-leading low in-cab noise levels. Its rounded cab design, more compact than on a conventional excavator, allows it to rotate within the counterweight’s swing radius. The PC228USLC-11 can easily manoeuvre in more areas, even on space-constrained jobsites.

Larger boom-raise cylinders, combined with an upgrade to the arm’s hydraulic circuit, improve the excavator’s lift capacity by up to 21%: heavy loads are placed easier, in a wider working range. The operator can get the job done correctly the first time, under any working conditions, thanks to the easy and smooth arm control.
Komatsu Integrated Attachment Control allows accurate pressure and flow setting for up to 15 attachments and is standard fit on the first line of machines with two attachment lines, with the option to add to the 2nd attachment line.
Safety and Operator Comfort
A comfortable work environment further helps to maximise productivity. Specifically designed for hydraulic excavators, the ROPS-certified cab gains strength from a reinforced box structure framework. It is mounted on rubber isolation dampers for low vibration levels. The sliding cab door allows unrestricted access / egress to the cab in confined spaces. The radio offers pre-sets and an auxiliary USB input for connecting external devices. Two 12-volt power ports are conveniently provided.
The viscous fan clutch system reduces both power loss and engine load when maximum cooling is not required. It lowers fuel consumption and contributes to a class-leading low in-cab noise, 71dB(A).
Proportional control joysticks are standard and allow precise operation of attachments with comfort and ease. An auto-idle shutdown helps the machine to further decrease fuel consumption. The addition of the Neutral Detection System reduces the risk of inadvertent operation.
A high-resolution 7” TFT-LCD widescreen colour monitor features enhanced capabilities and displays information in 26 languages for global support. It provides information on AdBlue® fluid level, Eco guidance, operational records, fuel consumption history and utilisation information.
Safety is further enhanced through Komatsu’s standard “KomVision” system, and its display on the monitor of a real-time bird’s eye view of the PC228USLC-11’s immediate surroundings. This helps to avoid jobsite incidents and accidental movement at start up.
