25.000 m², telle est la superficie du nouveau site belge de Van Laecke Group. Fin juin
dernier, l’entreprise a quitté son site bien connu à l’adresse Schatting n°8 pour s'installer au
n°66 dans la Remi Claeysstraat 66, toujours à Zedelgem. Situé à 350 m de l’ancien, ce
nouveau site offrira surtout à l’entreprise plus de place qu’avant.

Van Laecke Group est devenu incontournable dans le domaine des machines pour le
recyclage. Cette PME familiale peut s’appuyer sur des années d'expérience et d'expertise
dans le domaine des machines spécialisées pour les secteurs du recyclage, de la construction

Un site central
Si le groupe avait déjà investi dans un nouveau bâtiment à Houten près d’Utrecht pour la
filiale néerlandaise Van Bemmel Recycling en 2018, 2022 devait être l’année du renouveau
pour Zedelgem.
Avant, les quatre sites de notre filiale belge étaient disséminés dans la même rue. En raison
de la dispersion des machines et des pièces sur les différents sites, le choix d'un seul et
même site central de grande envergure constituait une évidence explique Luc Van Laecke.
Nous avons délibérément opté pour un site totalement adapté à nos clients, à nos
collaborateurs et à nos activités. Ce grand site central ainsi que les nouveaux bureaux nous
offriront la place nécessaire pour travailler plus efficacement et, ce faisant, encore mieux
servir les clients.

La pièce maîtresse du site n’est autre que le tout nouvel entrepôt qui abrite quelque 241.000
pièces. Van Laecke Group a donc décidé d’investir dans un espace suffisant afin de continuer
à élever le niveau de son service, même en cette période pas si évidente.
Luc Van Laecke nous explique: Nous disposons toujours d'un large stock de pièces de
rechange, afin de garantir des temps d'arrêt minimum en cas de panne. Une tâche que
complique parfois la conjoncture économique actuelle. La chaîne d'approvisionnement
mondialement perturbée nous pose également des problèmes, notamment au niveau des
pièces. Nous nous réunissons donc régulièrement avec nos fournisseurs afin d'anticiper au
mieux cette situation difficile sur le marché. De nombreux défis nous attendent, mais en

A central site
If the group had already invested in a new building in Houten near Utrecht for the
Dutch subsidiary Van Bemmel Recycling in 2018, 2022 was to be the year of renewal
for Zedelgem.
Before, the four sites of our Belgian subsidiary were scattered in the same street. Due
the dispersion of machines and parts on the various sites, the choice of a single and
same large-scale central site was obvious, explains Luc Van Laecke.
We have deliberately opted for a site totally adapted to our customers, our
employees and our activities. This large central site as well as the new offices
will provide the necessary space to work more efficiently and, in doing so, even better
serve the clients.

The centerpiece of the site is none other than the brand new warehouse which houses some 241,000
rooms. Van Laecke Group has therefore decided to invest in sufficient space in order to continue
to raise the level of his service, even in this not so obvious time.
Luc Van Laecke explains to us: We always have a large stock of spare parts
replacement, to ensure minimum downtime in the event of a breakdown. A task that

Dankzij uitbreiding is Van Laecke Group klaar voor de toekomst

25.000 m², dat is de oppervlakte van de nieuwe, Belgische site van de Van Laecke Group.
Eind juni lieten ze hun vertrouwde locatie op Schatting 8 achter en verhuisden ze naar de
Remi Claeysstraat 66 in Zedelgem. Het nieuwe bedrijfsterrein ligt op 350 m van het oude
bedrijfsgebouw en biedt de onderneming vooral meer ruimte dan voorheen.

Referentie in de Benelux recyclingindustrie
Wie recyclagemachines zegt, kan niet om de Van Laecke Group heen. De familiale KMO
heeft jarenlange ervaring en expertise in gespecialiseerde machines voor de recyclage, bouw
en agrarische sector. Het bedrijf is opgericht in 1990 als landbouwmechanisatiebedrijf en is
ondertussen uitgegroeid tot een referentie in de Benelux recyclingsector. Binnen de groep
kun je onder andere terecht voor recyclingmachines voor de verwerking van grond- en
steenafval van diverse origine, maar ook voor het verwerken van sloop- en groenhout.

Een centrale site
In 2018 werd bij de Nederlandse vestiging, Van Bemmel Recycling, reeds geïnvesteerd in een
nieuw bedrijfspand in Houten, nabij Utrecht, en voor Zedelgem werd 2022 het jaar van de
vernieuwing.

“Vroeger waren we met onze Belgische vestiging aanwezig op vier sites in eenzelfde straat.
Door de verspreiding van machines en onderdelen op de verschillende locaties, was de
keuze voor één grote centrale site vanzelfsprekend.”, vertelt Luc Van Laecke. “Er werd
bewust gekozen voor een bedrijfssite dat volledig afgestemd is op onze klanten,
medewerkers en bedrijfsactiviteit. Het grote bedrijventerrein en de nieuwe kantoren geven
de nodige ruimte om efficiënter te werk te gaan om zo de klant nog beter te bedienen.”
Het paradepaardje van de site is het gloednieuwe magazijn die onderdak biedt aan zowat
241.000 onderdelen. Van Laecke Group investeert zo in voldoende ruimte om het
serviceniveau naar een nog hoger niveau te tillen, ook in deze niet zo evidente tijden.
Luc Van Laecke licht toe: “We hebben steeds een grote voorraad onderdelen voorhanden,
om bij een storing een minimale stilstandtijd te garanderen. Een opdracht die door de
huidige economische tijden soms wat wordt bemoeilijkt. De wereldwijd verstoorde supply
chain zorgt ook voor ons voor aanvoerproblemen van onder andere onderdelen. We zitten
dan ook geregeld samen met onze leveranciers om zoveel mogelijk te anticiperen op deze
moeilijke marktsituatie. Heel wat uitdagingen op de weg, maar met de uitbreiding is Van
Laecke Group klaar om in de toekomst ‘experts @ your service’ te blijven.”
