Bobcat expands its global manufacturing footprint with a new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico

Doosan Bobcat, a global brand of compact equipment, innovation and jobsite solutions, today announces a new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico, expected to begin production in early 2026.

The nearly €280 million investment will expand Bobcat's existing global footprint to create additional production capacity and manufacturing capabilities for select compact track loader and skid steer loader models. The new production facility is expected to create 600 to 800 additional jobs in the region.

“As a global company with manufacturing facilities, offices, dealers and customers around the world, we have experienced tremendous growth and increasing demand for our products,” said Scott Park, CEO of Doosan Bobcat. “We look forward to continuing to expand our footprint to meet demand for Bobcat solutions worldwide.”

The 65,000 square foot manufacturing facility is estimated to increase Bobcat's North American skid steer loader production capacity by 20%. This includes areas for welding, painting and assembly as well as on-site storage and office space. Bobcat will use state-of-the-art technology with an emphasis on quality, precision and energy efficiency. Skid steer loaders are manufactured at the Monterrey location for North American sales. The company has other locations around the world that also produce skid steer loaders.

“With the new production facility in Monterrey, Mexico, North America can meet growing customer demand. Our European Bobcat production facility in Dobříš, Czech Republic, can concentrate on producing products for the EMEA region and meet growing demand here. “Globally, Bobcat will be able to better serve its customers by expanding our production facilities and reducing delivery times,” said Gary Hornbacher, Doosan Bobcat president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The decision for this new location came after an extensive review and consideration of expansions at existing Bobcat locations as well as the potential for new developments at locations around the world. Monterrey was selected for its well-established industrial sector, skilled workforce, proximity to the United States, cost competitiveness and strong business environment, among other factors.
