Boels Rental a étendu sa présence au Royaume-Uni, avec l'acquisition du spécialiste des mâts d'éclairage Illumin8.
Fondée en 2015 et basée dans l'Essex, Illumin8 sert des clients dans les secteurs de la construction, de l'événementiel, du génie civil, du rail, du cinéma et de la télévision. Boels, qui avec ses filiales exploite plus de 700 succursales dans 18 pays, a accepté l'accord pour un montant non divulgué.
Asif Latief, directeur général de Boels Rental UK, a déclaré : « Nous sommes très heureux d'accueillir Neil Fenwick et l'équipe d'Illumin8 dans la famille Boels. Boels travaille aux côtés d'Illumin8 depuis plusieurs années sur des projets et des événements très médiatisés, et leur gamme de produits, leur expertise et leurs niveaux de service sont sans égal.
"Illumin8 s'est forgé une réputation fondée sur la fourniture de produits et d'un service client de haute qualité et cette culture correspond parfaitement aux principes de Boels. Avec l'acquisition d'Illumin8, Boels peut désormais ajouter la location de mâts d'éclairage à ses divisions spécialisées au Royaume-Uni.
L'ajout d'Illumin8 soutiendra la division d'éclairage en pleine croissance de Boels, lui permettant de fournir une gamme de produits plus large à ses clients britanniques et de développer sa "présence sur les nouveaux marchés avec des équipements complémentaires" - tels que des clôtures, des barrières, des panneaux de signalisation et des générateurs plus grands - de son flotte de location.
"Mais ce n'est pas seulement une question d'équipement", a déclaré Latief. "En acquérant Illumin8, nous ajoutons des personnes formidables à l'équipe Boels au Royaume-Uni - des personnes qui ont une solide expérience et expertise de l'industrie et qui peuvent donner aux clients la tranquillité d'esprit lors de leur prochain projet ou événement."
L'accord élargira également les opérations d'Illumin8 et soutiendra sa stratégie de croissance pour le Royaume-Uni et au-delà. Le directeur général de la société, Neil Fenwick, a déclaré : « Afin de réaliser nos plans de croissance ambitieux, nous avons estimé que nous aligner sur un groupe international comme Boels Rental nous fournirait la plate-forme de croissance.

Cette dernière acquisition fait suite à la récente acquisition par Boel de la société de location norvégienne BAS Maskinutleie. L'accord vise à renforcer les activités norvégiennes de sa filiale finlandaise Cramo, qui a elle-même racheté l'équipementier suédois Hyresbutiken en mars de cette année.

Boels Rental agrees deal to expand its lighting division

Boels Rental has expanded its presence in the UK, with the acquisition of lighting tower specialist Illumin8.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Essex, Illumin8 serves customers in the construction, events, civil engineering, rail and film and television sectors. Boels, which with its subsidiaries operates over 700 branches in 18 countries, agreed the deal for undisclosed amount.
Asif Latief, Managing Director Boels Rental UK, said, “We are very happy to welcome Neil Fenwick and the Illumin8 team to the Boels family. Boels has worked alongside Illumin8 for a number of years on very high-profile projects and events, and their product range, expertise and service levels are second to none.
“Illumin8 have forged a reputation built on providing high quality products and customer service and this culture fits perfectly with Boels’ principles. With the acquisition of Illumin8, Boels can now add lighting tower rental to its UK specialist divisions.”
The addition of Illumin8 will support Boels’s growing lighting division, allowing it to provide a wider product range to its UK customers and to grow its “presence in newer markets with complimentary equipment” - such as fencing, barriers, signage and larger generators - from its rental fleet.
“But it’s not just about equipment,” said Latief. “By acquiring Illumin8 we’re adding great people to the Boels team in the UK – people who have solid industry experience and expertise and can give customers peace of mind on their next project or event.”
The deal will also further expand Illumin8’s operations and support its growth strategy for the UK and beyond. The company’s Managing Director, Neil Fenwick, said, “In order to achieve our ambitious growth plans, we felt that aligning with an international group like Boels Rental would provide us with the platform to grow.
“I am proud of the entire team at Illumin8 and I’m confident we have a bright future as part of the Boels family”, added Fenwick.
This latest acquisition follows Boel’s recent acquisition of Norwary-based rental company BAS Maskinutleie. The deal aims to strengthen the Norwegian activities of its Finland-headquartered subsidiary Cramo, which itself purchased the Swedish equipment supplier Hyresbutiken in March of this year.

Boels Rental heeft haar aanwezigheid in de UK uitgebreid met de overname van lichtmastspecialist Illumin8.
Illumin8, opgericht in 2015 en met het hoofdkantoor in Essex, bedient klanten in de sectoren bouw, evenementen, civiele techniek, spoorwegen en film en televisie. Boels, dat met zijn dochterondernemingen meer dan 700 vestigingen in 18 landen heeft, heeft de deal gesloten voor een onbekend bedrag.
Asif Latief, Managing Director Boels Rental UK, zei: “We zijn erg blij om Neil Fenwick en het Illumin8-team te verwelkomen in de Boels-familie. Boels werkt al een aantal jaren samen met Illumin8 aan zeer spraakmakende projecten en evenementen, en hun productaanbod, expertise en serviceniveau zijn ongeëvenaard.

De toevoeging van Illumin8 zal de groeiende verlichtingsdivisie van Boels ondersteunen, waardoor Boels een breder productassortiment aan zijn Britse klanten kan bieden en zijn "aanwezigheid in nieuwere markten met aanvullende apparatuur" - zoals hekwerken, slagbomen, bewegwijzering en grotere generatoren - kan uitbreiden van zijn verhuur vloot.
"Maar het gaat niet alleen om apparatuur", zegt Latief. "Door Illumin8 over te nemen, voegen we geweldige mensen toe aan het Boels-team in het VK - mensen met solide ervaring en expertise in de sector en die klanten gemoedsrust kunnen geven bij hun volgende project of evenement."
De deal zal ook de activiteiten van Illumin8 verder uitbreiden en haar groeistrategie voor het VK en daarbuiten ondersteunen. De algemeen directeur van het bedrijf, Neil Fenwick, zei: “Om onze ambitieuze groeiplannen te realiseren, hadden we het gevoel dat aansluiting bij een internationale groep als Boels Rental ons het platform zou bieden om te groeien.
"Ik ben trots op het hele team van Illumin8 en ik heb er alle vertrouwen in dat we een mooie toekomst tegemoet gaan als onderdeel van de Boels-familie", voegde Fenwick toe.
Deze laatste overname volgt op de recente overname door Boel van het in Noorwegen gevestigde verhuurbedrijf BAS Maskinutleie. De deal heeft tot doel de Noorse activiteiten te versterken van de in Finland gevestigde dochteronderneming Cramo, die zelf in maart van dit jaar de Zweedse leverancier van apparatuur Hyresbutiken kocht.
