October 1, 2026, marks a turning point for ATLAS. Following several months of restructuring, the German construction machinery manufacturer is officially joining the Canadian group Buhler Versatile, ushering in a new phase of its industrial history.
Operations at the Ganderkesee site have continued uninterrupted since restructuring proceedings began in February. An international search for investors has succeeded in safeguarding the company, its expertise, and—most importantly—more than 200 jobs.
Now part of the Buhler Versatile group—a family-owned business active in the agricultural and construction machinery sectors in North America and Turkey—ATLAS will continue to operate under its own name. Operational integration will take place gradually over the coming weeks.
For the teams that have weathered this turbulent period, the message is clear: ATLAS is not writing the final page of its history—it is opening a new one.
The brand, its Ganderkesee plant, and its identity as a German manufacturer have all been preserved. This industrial continuity transforms a period of uncertainty into a new promise for the future.
