La sécurité au cœur du design

Caterpillar place la sécurité au centre de cette nouvelle génération. Le système Dynamic Roll Protection surveille en permanence les accélérations latérales afin d’alerter en cas de risque de renversement. Associé au Stability Assist, il empêche le levage de la benne sur sol irrégulier. L’Auto Wait Brake (AWB) ajoute un confort supplémentaire : les freins s’enclenchent automatiquement lors des arrêts, supprimant la nécessité de passer en position « park » pour de courtes pauses.

Autre atout, la nouvelle fonction de limitation de hauteur de benne empêche tout contact avec des obstacles en hauteur, optimisant à la fois sécurité et rapidité de cycle. Avec son nouvel habitacle, Caterpillar a aussi repensé l’ergonomie : un tableau de bord moderne avec écran tactile et jog dial intuitif, un démarrage par bouton poussoir avec identifiant personnalisé pour jusqu’à 50 opérateurs, et une visibilité améliorée grâce à un éclairage intégré haute performance.

Automatic traction control prevents loss of grip, even on unstable terrain, while the new engine speed management system works in conjunction with automatic downhill braking to improve handling and reduce fatigue. The programmable speed limiter makes maneuvering safer in heavy traffic areas or on uneven ground.

The 725, 730, and 735 models feature a completely redesigned dump body. More efficient during loading, it maximizes cycle efficiency and reduces cleanup time thanks to an ingenious system that limits sticky residue. The operator can monitor the weight being carried in real time via the on-board display, while a set of exterior lights informs the loader driver when the optimum capacity is reached.

Safety at the Heart of the Design

Caterpillar places safety at the heart of this new generation. The Dynamic Roll Protection system continuously monitors lateral acceleration to warn of rollover risks. Combined with Stability Assist, it prevents the dump body from lifting on uneven ground. The Auto Wait Brake (AWB) adds additional comfort: the brakes engage automatically when stopping, eliminating the need to shift into park for short breaks.

Another advantage is the new dump body height limitation function, which prevents contact with overhead obstacles, optimizing both safety and cycle speed. The 730 EJ model retains its unique advantage: an ejection system that empties the load without lifting the dump body, ideal for sloping terrain, narrow areas, or underground sites.

To further enhance vigilance, Caterpillar offers an optional object detection system with radar and multi-view cameras, providing complete peripheral vision and audible and visual alerts.

Supporting the operator on a daily basis

More than just a machine, these dump trucks become true work partners. The Operator Coaching tool acts like an on-board coach: it analyzes driving habits, provides practical advice, and even animated tutorials directly on the touchscreen.
