Caterpillar va déménager son siège mondial dans la région de Dallas-Fort Worth
Caterpillar Inc. a annoncé qu'elle déménagerait son siège mondial dans le bureau existant de la société à Irving, au Texas, depuis son emplacement actuel à Deerfield, dans l'Illinois.
"Nous pensons qu'il est dans l'intérêt stratégique de l'entreprise de prendre cette décision, qui soutient la stratégie de croissance rentable de Caterpillar alors que nous aidons nos clients à construire un monde meilleur et plus durable", a déclaré le président-directeur général Jim Umpleby.
Caterpillar est présente au Texas depuis les années 1960 dans plusieurs secteurs de l'entreprise. L'Illinois reste la plus grande concentration d'employés de Caterpillar dans le monde.
La société commencera à transférer son siège social à Irving en 2022.

Caterpillar Inc. announced it will move its global headquarters to the company's existing office in Irving, Texas, from its current location in Deerfield, Ill.
"We believe it's in the best strategic interest of the company to make this move, which supports Caterpillar's strategy for profitable growth as we help our customers build a better, more sustainable world," said Chairman and CEO Jim Umpleby.
Caterpillar has had a presence in Texas since the 1960s across several areas of the company. Illinois remains the largest concentration of Caterpillar employees anywhere in the world.
The company will begin transitioning its headquarters to Irving in 2022.

Caterpillar verhuist wereldwijd hoofdkantoor naar de regio Dallas-Fort Worth
Caterpillar Inc. heeft aangekondigd dat het zijn wereldwijde hoofdkantoor zal verplaatsen naar het bestaande kantoor van het bedrijf in Irving, Texas, van de huidige locatie in Deerfield, Illinois.
"We zijn van mening dat het in het beste strategische belang van het bedrijf is om deze stap te zetten, die de strategie van Caterpillar voor winstgevende groei ondersteunt terwijl we onze klanten helpen een betere, duurzamere wereld op te bouwen", aldus voorzitter en CEO Jim Umpleby.
Caterpillar is sinds de jaren zestig aanwezig in Texas in verschillende delen van het bedrijf. Illinois blijft de grootste concentratie van Caterpillar-werknemers overal ter wereld.
Het bedrijf zal in 2022 beginnen met de verhuizing van zijn hoofdkantoor naar Irving.
