CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. a annoncé que CEMEX Ventures, son unité de capital-risque et d'innovation ouverte, investit dans ObraLink, une start-up qui a développé une technologie de prévision qui surveille le béton pendant son coulage et son durcissement pour prédire sa résistance en temps réel pendant le processus de construction.
ObraLink, fondée au Chili, a développé une technologie qui surveille le processus de durcissement du béton sur le chantier. Grâce à l'imagerie thermique avancée, cette technologie peut surveiller jusqu'à trois fois plus de points de mesure que des capteurs similaires à une fraction du coût.
Avec des informations exactes et en temps réel sur le processus de durcissement du béton, les constructeurs peuvent retirer le coffrage ou les moules au bon moment. Cela peut réduire les coûts de structure d'un projet de 15 % et réduire les temps de décoffrage de 40 %.
Les capacités d'imagerie avancées de cette solution réduisent également le temps, car la surveillance manuelle de ce processus prend plus de temps. La plate-forme intégrée facile à utiliser peut également automatiser les tâches quotidiennes et soutenir les performances des travailleurs avec peu d'intervention humaine et permet à ses clients d'inclure des fonctionnalités supplémentaires via des API.

CEMEX, S.A.B. the central heating. announced that CEMEX Ventures, its corporate venture capital and open innovation unit, is investing in ObraLink, a start-up that has developed a forecasting technology that monitors concrete during its pouring and hardening to predict its strength in real-time during the construction process.
ObraLink, founded in Chile, developed a technology that monitors the hardening process of concrete at the jobsite. Through advanced thermal imaging, this technology can monitor up to three times more measurement points than similar sensors at a fraction of the cost.
With exact and real-time information of the concrete hardening process, builders can remove the formwork, or molds, at precisely the right moment. This can reduce a project's structural costs by 15% and decrease formwork removal times by 40%.
The advanced imaging capabilities of this solution, also reduces time, as manually monitoring this process is more time consuming. The easy-to-use integrated platform can also automate daily tasks and support workers' performance with little human intervention and allows its customers to include additional features via APIs.
Alongside CEMEX Go and Arkik, ObraLink allows for an optimized construction value chain with better visibility, decision-making, and enhanced quality control for industry professionals.
After a successful trial, CEMEX tested ObraLink with a group of clients in Mexico during an initial launch phase. subsequently, the companies look to expand their services in the country while studying opportunities to grow into other markets in the U.S. and Latin America.
