Continental a amélioré avec succès sa gamme de pneus pour la manutention avec son pneu plein ContiPT18 mis à jour. Les indicateurs d'usure de la bande de roulement fournissent des informations sur l'état du pneu et indiquent lorsque la bande de roulement n'atteint plus la profondeur minimale. De plus, Continental a annoncé huit nouvelles tailles de pneus au cours du deuxième trimestre 2024.

Le pneu plein ContiPT18 est reconnu pour ses performances et son efficacité énergétique. Le nouvel indicateur d'usure de la bande de roulement est visible sur les deux flancs du pneu, ce qui permet de déterminer plus rapidement et plus facilement le bon moment pour changer un pneu. Cela peut réduire les coûts d’exploitation globaux en maximisant l’utilisation des pneus et contribuer à une plus grande durabilité.
« Avec le nouveau ContiPT18, nous avons développé un pneu qui offre non seulement des performances et une efficacité énergétique exceptionnelles, mais qui contribue également à une plus grande sécurité et efficacité de fonctionnement », déclare Matthias-Stephan Müller, chef de produit pour les pneus de manutention chez Continental Specialty Tires. Tous les pneus ContiPT18 sont également disponibles en versions non marquantes.
Le ContiPT18 offre des performances maximales grâce à sa conception à deux étages. Continental has successfully enhanced its material handling tire portfolio with its updated ContiPT18 solid tire. Tread wear indicators provide information about the condition of the tire and indicate when the tread no longer meets the minimum depth. Furthermore, Continental has announced eight new tire sizes in quarter two, 2024.

The ContiPT18 solid tire is known for its performance and energy efficiency. Used primarily in intralogistics, the product line is designed for indoor and outdoor use on any surface and is suitable for the highest demands and applications in three-shift operation.
Tread wear indicator increases safety during operation
The new tread wear indicator can be seen on both sidewalls of the tire, making it quicker and easier to determine the right time to change a tire. This can reduce overall operating costs by maximizing tire utilization and contribute to greater sustainability.
“With the new ContiPT18, we have developed a tire that not only offers outstanding performance and energy efficiency, but also contributes to greater operating safety and efficiency,” says Matthias-Stephan Müller, Product Manager for Material Handling Tires at Continental Specialty Tires. All ContiPT18 tires are also available in non-marking versions.
The ContiPT18 offers maximum performance thanks to its two-stage design. Müller: “Thanks to the modern tire compounds we use, heat generation is low while wear resistance is high.” This results in high mileage combined with low rolling resistance. The tread provides grip and optimized transmission of lateral forces, even with heavy loads. In addition to the standard sizes, in quarter two, 2024, the following articles will be available:

De ContiPT18 biedt maximale prestaties dankzij het tweetrapsontwerp. Müller: “Dankzij de moderne bandencompounds die we gebruiken, is de warmteontwikkeling laag, terwijl de slijtvastheid hoog is.” Dit resulteert in een hoge kilometerstand gecombineerd met een lage rolweerstand. Het loopvlak zorgt voor grip en een optimale overdracht van zijdelingse krachten, zelfs bij zware belasting.
