En 2018, DAF a été le premier constructeur européen de camions à lancer un camion entièrement électrique sur le marché : le CF Electric. Le CF Electric a une autonomie entièrement électrique d'environ 200 kilomètres. Une planification efficace et une charge intelligente des batteries permettent aux clients de faire parcourir à leurs camions jusqu'à 500 kilomètres entièrement électriques par jour.
Alors que le CF Electric vise davantage l'approvisionnement régional des supermarchés et des services de collecte des ordures, le LF Electric est plus adapté aux tâches de distribution plus légères, grâce à ses dimensions compactes. Le LF Electric est disponible en porteur de 19 tonnes (empattement 5,30 ou 5,85 mètres) avec une capacité de charge utile de 11 700 kilogrammes.
Recharge une fois par jour
Le camion zéro émission est équipé d'un moteur électrique de 260 kW (capacité de pointe de 370 kW) alimenté par une batterie lithium-fer-phosphate (LFP) de 282 kWh (252 kWh efficaces) sans cobalt ni magnésium. Cela donne au LF Electric une autonomie allant jusqu'à 280 kilomètres, ce qui est plus que suffisant pour desservir les itinéraires quotidiens généralement utilisés pour la distribution en centre-ville.
Charge lente et rapide
L'une des particularités du DAF LF Electric est son système de charge combiné. En charge lente (400 V AC, 22 kW, 3 phases), la batterie peut être chargée de 20 % à 80 % en 6,5 heures. Une recharge complète (0% à 100%) prend 12 heures. Une charge rapide (650V DC, 150 kW) est également possible. La batterie peut alors être chargée de 20% à 80% en seulement 60 minutes ou en 2 heures lors d'une recharge complète à partir de zéro.
Nabuurs
La société Nabuurs a été créée en 1962 et est spécialisée dans l'approvisionnement des magasins, des supermarchés et de l'hôtellerie. Basée à Haps, Nabuurs compte 20 succursales à travers les Pays-Bas qui proposent des solutions logistiques intégrées. La flotte de cette entreprise familiale se compose de 350 camions et Nabuurs emploie environ 1 000 personnes.
Gagner de l'expérience
L'acquisition du LF Electric sert deux objectifs pour Nabuurs, explique Dolf Hubertus, responsable de flotte chez le prestataire de services logistiques. « Le conseil municipal de Groningue souhaite accélérer le processus de réalisation d'une logistique urbaine à zéro émission. Le DAF LF Electric répond à cette ambition. Dans le même temps, en tant qu'entreprise, nous souhaitons également acquérir de l'expérience avec les chariots électriques ; comment cela affectera-t-il notre planification, par exemple ? »
Charge rapide et lente
Le fait que le LF Electric puisse être chargé à la fois rapidement et lentement est un atout majeur pour Nabuurs, déclare Hubertus. « Cela signifie que nous n'avons pas à investir immédiatement dans des installations de recharge CC coûteuses. Le véhicule peut être branché à un chargeur normal de 22 kWh à la fin de la journée et être prêt à l'emploi le lendemain matin.
Bud brassé à l'aide d'électricité 100% renouvelable
Le premier des camions LF Electric livrés sera utilisé par Nabuurs pour approvisionner les établissements d'accueil de Groningen pour le brasseur AB InBev, qui souhaite réduire les émissions de CO2 de sa chaîne d'approvisionnement grâce au LF Electric. Ralf Kox, responsable logistique chez AB InBev : « Notre ambition est d'atteindre Net Zero à l'échelle mondiale d'ici 2040. La réduction des émissions de CO2 est un moteur important dans le secteur des transports. La Bud est maintenant brassée à l'aide d'électricité 100 % renouvelable et est fournie sur une base entièrement électrique aux établissements hôteliers de la ville de Groningue. »

The first DAF LF Electric will be acquired by the Dutch logistics service provider Nabuurs, which will be using the truck to supply the hospitality establishments of the AB InBev brewing company in Groningen.

DAF Trucks has commenced delivery of its zero-emission LF Electric distribution truck. The first truck will be used by the logistics services provider Nabuurs to supply the clients of the AB InBev brewing company.
In 2018 DAF was the first European truck manufacturer to introduce a fully electric truck to the market: the CF Electric. The CF Electric has a fully electric range of around 200 kilometres. Efficient planning and smart charging of the batteries enable customers to have their trucks cover up to 500 fully electric kilometres a day.
While the CF Electric is aimed more ate the regional supply of supermarkets and garbage collection services, the LF Electric is more suitable for lighter distribution tasks, thanks to its compact dimensions. The LF Electric is available as a 19-ton rigid (wheelbase 5.30 or 5.85 metres) with a payload allowance of 11,700 kilograms.
Charging once a day
The zero-emission truck has a 260 kW (370 kW peak capacity) electric motor that is powered by a 282 kWh (252 kWh effective) cobalt and magnesium-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. This gives the LF Electric a range of up to 280 kilometres, which is more than enough to serve the daily routes typically used for inner-city distribution.
Slow and fast charging
One special feature of the DAF LF Electric is its Combined Charging System. Using slow charging (400V AC, 22 kW, 3 phases) the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in 6.5 hours. A full recharge (0% tot 100%) takes 12 hours. Fast charging (650V DC, 150 kW) is also possible. The battery can then be charged from 20% to 80% in only 60 minutes or in 2 hours when recharging fully from zero.
Nabuurs
The Nabuurs company was established in 1962 and it specialises in supplying shops, supermarkets and the hospitality industry. Based in Haps, Nabuurs has 20 branches throughout the Netherlands that offer integrated logistics solutions. The fleet of this family-owned business consists of 350 trucks and Nabuurs employs around 1,000 staff.
Gain experience
The acquisition of the LF Electric serves two purposes for Nabuurs, says Dolf Hubertus, fleet manager at the logistics services provider. “The Groningen City Council is keen to speed up the process of achieving zero-emission city logistics. The DAF LF Electric meets that ambition. At the same time, as a company we also want to gain experience with electric trucks; how will that affect our planning, for example?”
Fast and slow charging
The fact that the LF Electric can be charged both quickly and slowly is a major plus for Nabuurs, says Hubertus. “It means we don’t have to invest immediately in expensive DC charging facilities. The vehicle can he hooked up to a normal 22 kWh charger at the end of the day and be ready for use the next morning.”
Bud brewed using 100% renewable electricity
The first of the LF Electric trucks to be delivered will be used by Nabuurs to supply the hospitality establishments in Groningen for the AB InBev brewing company, which wishes to reduce the CO2 emissions of its supply chain using the LF Electric. Ralf Kox, Logistics Manager at AB InBev: “Our ambition is to achieve Net Zero globally by 2040. The reduction of CO2 emissions is an important driver in the transport sector. Bud is now being brewed using 100 per cent renewable electricity and is being supplied on a fully electric basis to hospitality establishments in the city of Groningen.”

De eerste DAF LF Electric wordt overgenomen door de Nederlandse logistiek dienstverlener Nabuurs, die de vrachtwagen gaat gebruiken om de horeca van brouwerij AB InBev in Groningen te bevoorraden.

In 2018 bracht DAF als eerste Europese vrachtwagenfabrikant een volledig elektrische vrachtwagen op de markt: de CF Electric. De CF Electric heeft een volledig elektrisch rijbereik van zo'n 200 kilometer. Dankzij een efficiënte planning en slim opladen van de batterijen kunnen klanten hun vrachtwagens tot 500 volledig elektrische kilometers per dag laten afleggen.
Waar de CF Electric meer gericht is op de regionale bevoorrading van supermarkten en vuilnisophaaldiensten, is de LF Electric door zijn compacte afmetingen meer geschikt voor lichtere distributietaken. De LF Electric is leverbaar als bakwagen van 19 ton (wielbasis 5,30 of 5,85 meter) met een laadvermogen van 11.700 kilogram.
Eén keer per dag opladen
De emissievrije truck heeft een elektromotor van 260 kW (370 kW piekvermogen) die wordt aangedreven door een kobalt- en magnesiumvrije lithium-ijzerfosfaatbatterij (LFP) van 282 kWh (252 kWh effectief). Dit geeft de LF Electric een actieradius van maximaal 280 kilometer, meer dan genoeg om de dagelijkse routes te bedienen die typisch zijn voor binnenstedelijke distributie.
Langzaam en snel opladen
Bijzonder aan de DAF LF Electric is het Combined Charging System. Door middel van langzaam laden (400V AC, 22 kW, 3 fasen) kan de accu in 6,5 uur worden opgeladen van 20% naar 80%. Een volledige herlading (0% tot 100%) duurt 12 uur. Snelladen (650V DC, 150 kW) is ook mogelijk. De batterij kan dan in slechts 60 minuten van 20% tot 80% worden opgeladen of in 2 uur bij volledig opladen vanaf nul.
Naburs
Het bedrijf Nabuurs is opgericht in 1962 en is gespecialiseerd in de bevoorrading van winkels, supermarkten en de horeca. Nabuurs, gevestigd in Haps, heeft 20 vestigingen door heel Nederland die integrale logistieke oplossingen bieden. Het wagenpark van dit familiebedrijf bestaat uit 350 vrachtwagens en bij Nabuurs werken zo'n 1.000 medewerkers.
Ervaring opdoen
De overname van de LF Electric dient voor Nabuurs twee doelen, zegt Dolf Hubertus, fleetmanager bij de logistiek dienstverlener. “De gemeente Groningen wil het proces om tot emissievrije stadslogistiek te komen versnellen. De DAF LF Electric beantwoordt aan die ambitie. Tegelijkertijd willen we als bedrijf ook ervaring opdoen met elektrische vrachtwagens; wat betekent dat bijvoorbeeld voor onze planning?”
Snel en langzaam opladen
Dat de LF Electric zowel snel als langzaam kan worden opgeladen, is een groot pluspunt voor Nabuurs, zegt Hubertus. “Het betekent dat we niet meteen hoeven te investeren in dure DC-laadfaciliteiten. Het voertuig kan aan het eind van de dag worden aangesloten op een normale 22 kWh-lader en de volgende ochtend klaar zijn voor gebruik.”
Bud gebrouwen met 100% hernieuwbare elektriciteit
De eerste van de te leveren LF Electric-trucks zal door Nabuurs worden gebruikt om de horeca in Groningen te bevoorraden voor brouwerij AB InBev, die met de LF Electric de CO2-uitstoot van haar supply chain wil verminderen. Ralf Kox, Logistiek Manager bij AB InBev: “Het is onze ambitie om tegen 2040 wereldwijd Net Zero te bereiken. De vermindering van de CO2-uitstoot is een belangrijke drijfveer in de transportsector. Bud wordt nu gebrouwen met 100 procent hernieuwbare elektriciteit en wordt volledig elektrisch geleverd aan horecagelegenheden in de stad Groningen.”
