Véritables concentrés d’innovation, les Pit Viper 351 E sont entièrement électriques, réduisant significativement les émissions et renforçant l’engagement de Mesabi Metallics en faveur d’une exploitation minière plus respectueuse de l’environnement. Elles sont également prêtes à intégrer des capacités d’autonomie à rang unique, une étape que l’entreprise prévoit de franchir dans le cadre de sa feuille de route technologique.

Avec cette acquisition, la flotte de forage de Mesabi Metallics devient entièrement composée d’équipements Epiroc, un choix cohérent et assumé.

En juillet 2025, Mesabi Metallics avait déjà annoncé l’achat de 110 millions de dollars d’équipements miniers via RMS, incluant une flotte de camions de transport Komatsu 980E-5 équipés du système autonome FrontRunner.

This strategic investment marks a decisive step in the development of the Nashwauk iron ore mining and processing facility, a major $2.4 billion project. This order also builds on a strong and successful partnership with RMS. In July 2025, Mesabi Metallics announced the purchase of $110 million worth of mining equipment through RMS, including a fleet of Komatsu 980E-5 haul trucks equipped with the FrontRunner autonomous system.
