Candidature aux Despe World Demolition Awards 2022 Le projet Enel Genoa d'Industrial Demolition Despe était l'une des deux candidatures présélectionnées pour les World Demolition Awards 2022.
Cinq entreprises européennes - trois entrepreneurs en démolition et deux fabricants d'équipements - ont remporté avec succès les World Demolition Awards à Vienne, en Autriche, le mois dernier.
L'événement, organisé par le magazine KHL Demolition & Recycling International en partenariat avec la European Demolition Association et avec le soutien de la National Demolition Association des États-Unis, récompense l'innovation et les meilleures pratiques dans 14 catégories.
Et c'était l'heure de la célébration pour l'Europe dans cinq de ces catégories lors du rassemblement annuel de l'industrie lors du Sommet mondial de la démolition dans la capitale autrichienne.
Erith Contractors du Royaume-Uni a remporté dans Urban Demolition plus de 10 millions de dollars d'un ensemble de travaux techniques à l'Olympia de Londres qui comprenait la démolition complexe, des travaux d'intervention et des travaux temporaires complexes sur plusieurs sites qui composent le lieu d'exposition.
L'un des aspects les plus difficiles du projet consistait à s'assurer que les événements en direct, y compris une série de salons professionnels internationaux, d'expositions grand public, de conférences et d'événements sportifs, pouvaient se dérouler parallèlement au programme des travaux.
La liaison avec les commerces de détail, les résidences, les commerces et les attractions touristiques avoisinantes a été essentielle pour minimiser toute perturbation grâce à l'utilisation de plans de gestion du trafic robustes et d'une équipe de liaison de quartier expérimentée.
Le prix de la collaboration a été décerné à P Olesen du Danemark, qui a été embauché comme entrepreneur clé en main pour un projet de démolition de la tour de 88 m (289 pi) de haut et d'un bâtiment adjacent à la célèbre brasserie Carlsberg.
P Olesen explique qu'il s'agissait d'un projet de démolition qui nécessitait à la fois une méthode de démolition spéciale et un niveau élevé de collaboration, de communication et de flexibilité de la part de toutes les parties concernées.
La pandémie de coronavirus a compliqué la collaboration entre P Olesen au Danemark et le sous-traitant Despe en Italie, tandis que la tour nécessitait une méthode de démolition spéciale – le TopDownWay développé par Despe – car elle était proche des bâtiments, des écoles et des rues animées.

Despe lui-même a remporté la catégorie industrielle pour la démolition de la centrale thermoélectrique Enal dans le port de Gênes.
De manière significative, il n'y avait presque pas d'espace sur le périmètre de l'usine, ce qui rend difficile l'utilisation de grosses machines et le stockage de matériaux.
Les installations de la centrale abritaient quatre groupes au charbon d'une capacité de 60 MW chacun et un groupe de 160 MW. Les adaptations environnementales qui ont eu lieu au fil du temps ont fait que pas moins de quatre précipitateurs électrostatiques d'un poids total de 2 100 t ont été installés sur le toit du bâtiment grâce à un système spécial et ingénieux de délestage.
Dans les catégories constructeurs, Arden Equipment de France a remporté le prix Tools and Attachment pour une flèche de démolition développée dans le cadre d'un contrat avec l'entrepreneur français Cardem, tandis que la nouvelle pelle SK1300 DLC de Kobelco Europe est arrivée en tête dans Plant and Equipment.

Despe World Demolition Awards 2022 entry Industrial Demolition Despe’s Enel Genoa project was one of two shortlisted entries for the the 2022 World Demolition Awards.
Five European companies – three demolition contractors and two equipment manufacturers – enjoyed a successful World Demolition Awards in Vienna, Austria, last month.
The event, organised by KHL magazine Demolition & Recycling International in partnership with the European Demolition Association and with the support of the National Demolition Association of the USA, recognises innovation and best practice across 14 categories.
And it was celebration time for Europe in five of those categories during the industry’s annual gathering at the World Demolition Summit in the Austrian capital.
Erith Contractors of the United Kingdom won in Urban Demolition over US$10 million of a technical enabling works package at London’s Olympia that included the complex demolition, intervention works and intricate temporary works across multiple venues that make up the exhibition venue.
One of the most challenging aspects of the project was ensuring that the live events, including a range of international trade shows, consumer exhibitions, conferences and sporting events were able to go ahead alongside the programme of works.
Liaison with the neighbouring retail, residential, commercial and landmark surrounding tourist attractions in the vicinity was key to minimising any disruption through the use of robust traffic management plans and an experienced neighbourhood liaison team.
The Collaboration award went to P Olesen of Denmark, which was hired as turnkey contractor on a project to demolish the 88 m (289 ft) high tower and an adjacent building at the famous Carlsberg brewery.
P Olesen says this was a demolition project that required both a special demolition method and a high level of collaboration, communication and flexibility from all parties involved.
The Coronavirus pandemic complicated the collaboration between P Olesen in Denmark and the subcontractor Despe in Italy, while the tower required a special demolition method – the TopDownWay developed by Despe – as it was close to buildings, schools and busy streets.

Despe itself won the Industrial category for demolishing the Enal thermoelectric power plant in the port of Genoa.
Significantly, there was almost no space on the perimeter of the plant, which makes it difficult to use large machinery and store materials.
The power station facilities housed four coal groups with a capacity of 60 MW each and a 160 MW group. The environmental adaptations that took place over time meant that no less than four electrostatic precipitators weighing a total of 2,100 t were installed on the roof of the building by means of a special and ingenious force relief system.
In the manufacturer categories, Arden Equipment of France took the Tools and Attachment prize for a demolition jib developed during a contract with French contractor Cardem, while Kobelco Europe’s new SK1300 DLC excavator came out on top in Plant and Equipment.

Despe World Demolition Awards 2022 inzending Industrial Demolition Het Enel Genoa-project van Despe was een van de twee inzendingen op de shortlist voor de 2022 World Demolition Awards.
Vijf Europese bedrijven – drie sloopaannemers en twee fabrikanten van materieel – genoten vorige maand van een succesvolle World Demolition Awards in Wenen, Oostenrijk.
Het evenement, georganiseerd door KHL magazine Demolition & Recycling International in samenwerking met de European Demolition Association en met de steun van de National Demolition Association of the USA, erkent innovatie en best practices in 14 categorieën.
En het was feest voor Europa in vijf van die categorieën tijdens de jaarlijkse bijeenkomst van de industrie op de World Demolition Summit in de Oostenrijkse hoofdstad.
Erith Contractors uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk won in Urban Demolition meer dan US $ 10 miljoen van een technisch werkpakket in Olympia in Londen, dat de complexe sloop-, interventiewerkzaamheden en ingewikkelde tijdelijke werken omvatte op meerdere locaties die deel uitmaken van de tentoonstellingslocatie.

Despe won zelf de categorie Industrieel voor het slopen van de thermo-elektrische energiecentrale Enal in de haven van Genua.
Veelbetekenend was dat er bijna geen ruimte was aan de rand van de fabriek, wat het moeilijk maakt om grote machines te gebruiken en materialen op te slaan.
In de centrales bevonden zich vier kolengroepen met elk een vermogen van 60 MW en een groep van 160 MW. Door de omgevingsaanpassingen die in de loop van de tijd plaatsvonden, werden maar liefst vier elektrostatische stofvangers met een totaal gewicht van 2.100 ton op het dak van het gebouw geïnstalleerd door middel van een speciaal en ingenieus krachtontlastingssysteem.
In de fabrikantencategorieën won het Franse Arden Equipment de prijs Tools and Attachment voor een sloopjib die werd ontwikkeld tijdens een contract met de Franse aannemer Cardem, terwijl de nieuwe SK1300 DLC-graafmachine van Kobelco Europe als beste uit de bus kwam in Plant and Equipment.
