Powerscreen® - les principaux fournisseurs d'équipements mobiles de concassage, de criblage et de transport ont fait forte impression au salon Hillhead de cette année, avec les débuts de travail de son Chieftain 2100XE.
Dans le prolongement de la gamme Powerscreen Hybrid, les machines 'Transport Engine' telles que le Chieftain 2100XE utilisent un petit moteur pour des tâches hydrauliques telles que le suivi et le pliage des convoyeurs, tout en se branchant sur une alimentation externe (secteur électrique, groupe électrogène ou autre machine) pour le traitement du matériel.

Respectueux de l'environnement - Les machines électriques sont moins nocives pour l'environnement que les machines à carburant conventionnelles.

Maintenance réduite - Il y a moins de composants réparables sur les petits moteurs de transport par rapport aux moteurs standard, ce qui réduit les efforts de maintenance.
Productivité accrue - Moins de temps passé à faire le plein et à entretenir la machine, ce qui permet de maximiser la disponibilité et d'augmenter le rendement.
Accès amélioré - Les machines électriques peuvent fonctionner sur des sites où les machines traditionnelles ne le peuvent pas. Les tunnels, les zones sous la table météorologique et les centres-villes avec des politiques de zéro émission en sont des exemples.
Polyvalence - Les machines à moteur de transport peuvent être alimentées via une autre machine, c'est-à-dire un concasseur ou via une prise électrique directe sur le secteur ou le générateur.

FP McCann Seek Sustainability -Chieftain 2100XE

Powerscreen® - leading providers of mobile crushing, screening and conveying equipment made an impression at this year’s Hillhead exhibition, with the working debut of its Chieftain 2100XE.
As an extension of the Powerscreen Hybrid range, ‘Transport Engine’ machines such as the Chieftain 2100XE use a small engine for hydraulic tasks like tracking and folding conveyors, while plugging in to an external power supply (mains electric, generator or another machine) for the processing of material.
One company that has shown a keen interest in this technology is FP McCann – who supply a wide range of aggregate products to the construction industry throughout the UK & Ireland. As part of their growth strategy and commitment to sustainability, FP McCann have been trialling the Powerscreen Chieftain 2100XE at one of their large quarry operations in Northern Ireland.

Benefits of Transport Engine Machines
Eco-Friendly – Electric powered machines are less harmful to the environment than conventional fuel driven machines.
Efficiency – As well environmental benefits, these machines are more cost effective to run and therefore provide operators with a lower cost per tonne.
Reduced Maintenance – There are less serviceable components on small transport engines in comparison to standard engines which reduces maintenance efforts.
Increased Productivity – Less time spent fuelling and servicing the machine helps to maximise uptime and increase output.
Improved Access – Electric powered machines can work on sites where traditional machines cannot. Examples of this include tunnels, areas beneath the weather table and city centres with zero emission policies.
Versatility – Transport engine machines can be powered via another machine i.e a crusher or via direct electric plug into mains electricity or generator.

Als uitbreiding van het Powerscreen Hybrid-assortiment gebruiken 'Transport Engine'-machines zoals de Chieftain 2100XE een kleine motor voor hydraulische taken zoals het volgen en vouwen van transportbanden, terwijl ze worden aangesloten op een externe voeding (elektriciteit, generator of een andere machine) voor de verwerking van materiaal.

Voordelen van transportmotormachines
Milieuvriendelijk – Elektrisch aangedreven machines zijn minder schadelijk voor het milieu dan conventionele brandstof aangedreven machines.
Efficiëntie – Deze machines zijn niet alleen milieuvriendelijk, ze zijn ook kosteneffectiever in gebruik en bieden operators dus lagere kosten per ton.
Minder onderhoud - Er zijn minder onderhoudbare onderdelen op kleine transportmotoren in vergelijking met standaardmotoren, wat de onderhoudsinspanningen vermindert.
Verhoogde productiviteit – Minder tijd besteden aan tanken en onderhoud van de machine helpt de uptime te maximaliseren en de output te verhogen.
Verbeterde toegang – Elektrisch aangedreven machines kunnen werken op locaties waar traditionele machines dat niet kunnen. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn tunnels, gebieden onder de weertafel en stadscentra met een nul-emissiebeleid.
Veelzijdigheid – Machines met transportmotor kunnen worden aangedreven via een andere machine, d.w.z. een breker of via een rechtstreekse elektrische stekker in het elektriciteitsnet of een generator.
