Le 23 septembre à Vipiteno (Bolzano, Italie), PRINOTH, leader mondial dans la production de dameuses et de véhicules à chenilles, a célébré son 60e anniversaire en présentant tous ses modèles historiques et ses plus innovants, dont le LEITWOLF h2MOTION le premier moteur à hydrogène au monde dameuse dotée d'un moteur à combustion interne de FPT Industrial. Le nouveau véhicule concept est en effet équipé de la nouvelle version FPT XC13 Hydrogen, 13 litres, moteur six cylindres, délivrant 460 ch (338 kW) et 2 000 Nm de couple.
Dévoilé à l'IAA 2022, le nouveau FPT XC13 est le premier moteur monobase multicarburant. Du diesel au gaz naturel - en passant par le biométhane - l'hydrogène et les carburants renouvelables, le moteur de base a été conçu avec plusieurs versions pour offrir une standardisation maximale des composants et une intégration facile dans le produit final.
Fort d'une longue expérience sur les carburants alternatifs, le moteur à hydrogène XC13 est un premier concept tourné vers une offre complémentaire pour accélérer le processus de décarbonation du secteur des applications industrielles.
Le moteur à combustion à hydrogène installé sur le PRINOTH LEITWOLF h2MOTION est une technologie supplémentaire dans le portefeuille FPT Industrial pour les solutions à zéro émission de CO2, offrant aux clients la familiarité à laquelle ils sont habitués avec les machines traditionnelles. L'hydrogène carburant est stocké dans cinq réservoirs montés à l'arrière de la machine pour une durée de fonctionnement indicative de plus de 3 heures.
Conçu principalement pour la préparation des pistes dans les grandes stations de ski en raison de sa puissance et de sa taille, le nouveau concept de véhicule est une autre étape vers l'objectif de PRINOTH d'une flotte entièrement neutre en carbone et la collaboration avec FPT Industrial signale l'engagement mutuel des deux sociétés en faveur de la durabilité en off- applications routières.

FPT Industrial, the powertrain brand of Iveco Group, goes straight ahead on alternative propulsion and takes to the ski slopes. Just a week after the launch at IAA in Hannover, FPT Industrial presents the first concept application of the new XC13 hydrogen combustion engine and a new collaboration with a partner of excellence.

On September 23 in Vipiteno (Bolzano, Italy), PRINOTH, a world leader in the production of snow groomers and tracked vehicles, celebrated its 60th Anniversary showcasing all its historical models and its most innovative ones, including the LEITWOLF h2MOTION the world’s first hydrogen powered snow groomer featuring an internal combustion engine by FPT Industrial. The new concept vehicle is in fact equipped with the new FPT XC13 Hydrogen version, 13 liter, six-cylinder engine, delivering 460 hp (338 kW) and 2,000 Nm of torque.
Unveiled at IAA 2022, the new FPT XC13 is the first multi-fuel single-base engine. From diesel to natural gas - including biomethane - hydrogen, and renewable fuels, the base engine has been designed with multiple versions to offer maximum component standardization and easy integration into the final product.
Leveraging long experience on alternative fuels, the XC13 hydrogen engine is a first concept looking towards a complementary offer to accelerate the decarbonization process of the industrial applications sector.
The hydrogen combustion engine installed on the PRINOTH LEITWOLF h2MOTION is an additional technology in the FPT Industrial portfolio for zero CO2 emission solutions, offering customers the familiarity they are used to with traditional machines. The hydrogen fuel is stored in five tanks mounted on the back of the machine for an indicative running time of more than 3 hours.
Designed primarily for preparing slopes in larger ski resorts due to its power and size, the new concept vehicle is another step towards PRINOTH’s goal of a fully carbon neutral fleet and the collaboration with FPT Industrial signals the two companies’ mutual commitment to sustainability in off-road applications.
