Face à la hausse constante des coûts liés à la gestion des sols excédentaires et des boues de chantier, Frontline Machinery annonce la création de Frontline Washing Systems, une nouvelle division dédiée aux solutions de lavage et de récupération des matériaux pour le marché canadien.

Cette initiative vise à offrir aux entrepreneurs, producteurs de granulats, exploitants de sites environnementaux et gestionnaires de déchets des solutions modulaires et évolutives permettant de réduire les coûts d’élimination, de valoriser davantage les matériaux et de faciliter l’accès aux technologies de lavage.

Le lancement intervient dans un contexte où les projets de construction et d’infrastructures à travers le Canada doivent composer avec l’augmentation des coûts de transport, la diminution des capacités d’enfouissement et les exigences réglementaires de plus en plus strictes. Pour de nombreux opérateurs, les sols contaminés, les déblais excédentaires et les boues ne représentent plus seulement un défi logistique, mais un enjeu économique majeur pouvant affecter la rentabilité des projets.

Rendre les technologies de lavage plus accessibles

Si les technologies de lavage des sols et de récupération des matériaux sont largement éprouvées sur les marchés internationaux, leur déploiement au Canada demeure limité, principalement en raison du manque d’expertise spécialisée et d’accompagnement technique.

« Nous avons réalisé qu’il était essentiel d’introduire cette technologie au Canada et de la rendre accessible à l’ensemble de l’industrie, et non à quelques entreprises seulement », explique Daryl Todd, président de Frontline Washing Systems. « Sans accessibilité, il sera impossible de répondre efficacement aux défis auxquels le marché canadien est confronté. »

Inspirée notamment par les pratiques observées en Europe, où les technologies de recyclage et de valorisation des matériaux sont largement adoptées, la nouvelle division entend combler ce déficit d’expertise en proposant un accompagnement complet, de la conception des installations jusqu’au soutien technique sur le terrain.

Des solutions modulaires adaptées aux besoins du marché

Frontline Washing Systems mise sur une approche flexible grâce à des installations modulaires pouvant être adaptées aux volumes traités, aux contraintes de site et aux objectifs de récupération des matériaux. Cette stratégie vise à réduire les investissements initiaux tout en permettant aux entreprises de faire évoluer leurs capacités au rythme de leurs besoins.

Selon Anderton, le marché canadien a besoin de bien plus qu’un simple accès à l’équipement : « Les clients recherchent des partenaires capables de comprendre les applications de lavage, les pressions économiques auxquelles ils font face et les exigences d’exploitation à long terme. Faced with the steadily rising costs associated with managing excess soil and construction sludge, Frontline Machinery announces the creation of Frontline Washing Systems, a new division dedicated to washing and material recovery solutions for the Canadian market.

This initiative aims to provide contractors, aggregate producers, environmental site operators, and waste managers with modular and scalable solutions that reduce disposal costs, increase material recovery, and facilitate access to washing technologies.

The launch comes at a time when construction and infrastructure projects across Canada are grappling with rising transportation costs, dwindling landfill capacity, and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements. For many operators, contaminated soil, excess excavated material, and sludge are no longer just a logistical challenge, but a major economic issue that can impact project profitability.

Making Washing Technologies More Accessible

While floor washing and material recovery technologies are widely proven in international markets, their deployment in Canada remains limited, primarily due to a lack of specialized expertise and technical support.
