La société de location espagnole GAM a publié des résultats semestriels positifs et a fourni des détails sur un investissement de la société financière De Lage Landen (DLL) dans sa société de logistique du «dernier kilomètre» Inquieto.
Les revenus des six premiers mois de l'année ont augmenté de 39 % d'une année sur l'autre à 107,4 millions d'euros, avec un bénéfice net de 2,4 millions d'euros, contre une perte de 0,8 million d'euros au cours de la même période de 2021. Les bénéfices de l'EBITDA ont augmenté de 52 % à 27,5 millions d'euros.
GAM a déclaré que DLL, qui fait partie de Rabobank, a pris une participation de 20% dans sa filiale Inquieto.
Inquieto possède 1500 véhicules électriques en Espagne et au Portugal qui sont utilisés pour la livraison à courte distance de colis dans les centres urbains, avec des clients dans les secteurs de la santé, de l'alimentation, de l'hôtellerie et de l'industrie, y compris des entreprises comme Uber et San Miguel.

Les services tels que la formation, la maintenance et la vente de matériel neuf et d'occasion, ont généré un chiffre d'affaires de 40,8 M€, en hausse de 32 %.
GAM a déclaré que les difficultés de la chaîne d'approvisionnement subsistaient toujours dans l'entreprise et que ces contraintes allaient probablement se poursuivre pendant le reste de l'année.
Fernández a dit; "Dans un environnement complexe marqué par des tensions inflationnistes, des augmentations de coûts et des problèmes dans la chaîne d'approvisionnement, l'entreprise a réalisé une croissance élevée dans tous les métiers et une amélioration de sa rentabilité, ce qui lui permet d'être optimiste pour le second semestre.
"La feuille de route de l'entreprise définie dans son plan stratégique reste donc intacte, bien qu'avec prudence - principalement en raison de la situation complexe et incertaine".

Spanish rental company GAM has posted positive half year results and provided details of an investment by finance company De Lage Landen (DLL) in its ‘last mile’ logistics firm Inquieto.
Revenues in the first six months of the year were up 39% year-on-year to €107.4 million, with net profits of €2.4 million compared to a €0.8 million loss in the same period of 2021. EBITDA profits were up 52% to €27.5 million.
GAM said DLL, which is part of Rabobank, has taken a 20% stake in its Inquieto subsidiary.
Inquieto owns 1500 electric vehicles in Spain and Portugal which are used for short distance delivery of packages in urban centres, with customers in healthcare, food, hospitality and industry, including companies like Uber and San Miguel.
Pedro Luis Fernández, CEO of both GAM and Inquieto, said the investment was great news for the company and for the wider business of emissions-free deliveries; “Having an ally with the stature of DLL focused on sustainability represents a contribution that goes far beyond the addition of new capital: it is an [enormous benefit].”
On its first half financials, GAM reported a 35% increase in revenues for short-term rentals, up to €40.8 million, while its long-term contracts saw a 61% rise to €23.2 million. Services such as training, maintenance and new and used equipment sales, generated revenues of €40.8 million, an increase of 32%.
GAM said supply chain difficulties were still being experienced by the business and that such constraints were likely to continue into the rest of the year.
Fernández said; “In a complex environment marked by inflationary tensions, cost increases and problems in the supply chain, the company achieved high growth in all business lines and improved profitability, which means that it can be optimistic about the second half of the year.
“The company’s roadmap set out in its strategic plan therefore remains intact, although with caution - mainly due to the complex and uncertain situation”.

Het Spaanse verhuurbedrijf GAM heeft positieve halfjaarresultaten geboekt en details verstrekt over een investering van financieringsmaatschappij De Lage Landen (DLL) in haar 'last mile' logistiek bedrijf Inquieto.
De inkomsten in de eerste zes maanden van het jaar stegen met 39% op jaarbasis tot € 107,4 miljoen, met een nettowinst van € 2,4 miljoen vergeleken met een verlies van € 0,8 miljoen in dezelfde periode van 2021. De EBITDA-winst steeg met 52% tot € 27,5 miljoen.
