Au cœur du quartier berlinois de Neukölln, le démontage d’une grue à tour Potain MD 120 s’est transformé en un véritable défi d’ingénierie et de logistique. Pour mener cette opération délicate dans un environnement urbain exigu, l’entreprise allemande MOBI-HUB a mobilisé la puissante Grove GMK6450-1 de 450 tonnes.

Mais avant même de soulever la moindre charge, un premier obstacle devait être surmonté : une restriction de transport limitant la charge à 8 tonnes par essieu, imposée lors du franchissement des voies du métro berlinois. La solution ? Démonter la flèche principale de la grue mobile et la transporter séparément sur une semi-remorque légère. Une approche ingénieuse qui a permis d’acheminer la machine jusqu’au chantier dans le respect des contraintes locales.

Une fois sur place, deux grues mobiles auxiliaires ont participé au remontage de la flèche. Équipée d’une fléchette relevable de 73 mètres et de 115 tonnes de contrepoids, la GMK6450-1 a ensuite pris en charge les éléments les plus lourds de la Potain MD 120, avec des charges atteignant 9 tonnes. Les opérations ont été réalisées à des portées allant jusqu’à 72 mètres et à une hauteur de crochet d’environ 59 mètres.

Ballasts, contre-flèche, sections de flèche principale, puis éléments du mât : chaque composant a été démonté méthodiquement, dans un environnement où la précision et la maîtrise des manœuvres étaient essentielles pour limiter les perturbations de la circulation.

In the heart of Berlin's Neukölln district, dismantling a Potain MD 120 tower crane became a true engineering and logistical challenge. To carry out this delicate operation in a confined urban environment, the German company MOBI-HUB deployed the powerful 450-ton Grove GMK6450-1.

But before even lifting a single load, a first obstacle had to be overcome: a transport restriction limiting the load to 8 tons per axle, imposed when crossing the Berlin subway tracks. The solution? Dismantle the main boom of the mobile crane and transport it separately on a light semi-trailer. This ingenious approach made it possible to transport the machine to the construction site while respecting local regulations.

Once on site, two auxiliary mobile cranes assisted in reassembling the boom. Equipped with a 73-meter luffing jib and 115 tonnes of counterweight, the GMK6450-1 then took over the heaviest components of the Potain MD 120, with loads reaching up to 9 tonnes. Ballasts, counter-jib, main boom sections, and then mast components: each component was methodically dismantled in an environment where precision and control of maneuvers were essential to minimize traffic disruptions.

In het hart van de Berlijnse wijk Neukölln werd het demonteren van een Potain MD 120 torenkraan een ware technische en logistieke uitdaging. Om deze delicate operatie in een krappe stedelijke omgeving uit te voeren, zette het Duitse bedrijf MOBI-HUB de krachtige 450 ton wegende Grove GMK6450-1 in.

Maar nog voordat er ook maar één last kon worden gehesen, moest een eerste hindernis worden overwonnen: een transportbeperking van 8 ton per as, die gold voor het oversteken van de Berlijnse metrosporen. Ballasten, contragiek, hoofdgiekdelen en vervolgens mastonderdelen: elk onderdeel werd methodisch gedemonteerd in een omgeving waar precisie en controle van de manoeuvres essentieel waren om verkeershinder tot een minimum te beperken.
