Hiab franchit une nouvelle étape dans sa stratégie industrielle avec le lancement de l’extension et de la modernisation de son site MULTILIFT de Raisio, en Finlande. Soutenu par un investissement de 19 millions d’euros, le projet vise à augmenter les capacités de production tout en faisant du site une référence européenne en matière de fabrication durable.

Conçue pour répondre à la demande croissante des secteurs de la défense et du transport, cette transformation permettra d’accroître la production des systèmes de bras amovibles MULTILIFT, tout en créant un environnement de travail plus moderne, plus sûr et plus performant.

Mais l’ambition va bien au-delà de la capacité industrielle. Hiab entend faire de Raisio une véritable « usine du futur », en réduisant drastiquement sa consommation énergétique et en progressant vers une production neutre en carbone. Le site abandonnera progressivement les systèmes de chauffage traditionnels au profit d’un modèle énergétique circulaire combinant récupération de chaleur industrielle, énergie solaire et solutions de stockage par batteries.

Cette approche devrait non seulement diminuer l’empreinte environnementale de l’usine, mais aussi renforcer sa résilience énergétique à long terme.

Les travaux, confiés au groupe de construction NCC, viennent de débuter et s’achèveront au quatrième trimestre 2027. À terme, le complexe modernisé intégrera également de nouveaux espaces de bureaux et un showroom, illustrant la volonté de Hiab de conjuguer croissance industrielle, innovation technologique et durabilité.

Avec ce projet d’envergure, Hiab ne se contente pas d’agrandir une usine : le constructeur pose les fondations d’un modèle industriel plus intelligent, plus propre et résolument tourné vers l’avenir.

Hiab is taking another step in its industrial strategy with the launch of the expansion and modernization of its MULTILIFT site in Raisio, Finland. Backed by a €19 million investment, the project aims to increase production capacity while making the site a European benchmark for sustainable manufacturing.

Designed to meet the growing demand from the defense and transportation sectors, this transformation will increase production of MULTILIFT detachable arm systems, while creating a more modern, safer, and more efficient working environment.

But the ambition goes far beyond industrial capacity. Hiab intends to make Raisio a true “factory of the future” by drastically reducing its energy consumption and moving towards carbon-neutral production. The site will gradually abandon traditional heating systems in favor of a circular energy model combining industrial heat recovery, solar energy, and battery storage solutions.

This approach should not only reduce the plant's environmental footprint but also strengthen its long-term energy resilience.

The work, entrusted to the construction group NCC, has just begun and will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2027. Ultimately, the modernized complex will also include new office spaces and a showroom, illustrating Hiab's commitment to combining industrial growth, technological innovation, and sustainability.

With this large-scale project, Hiab is not simply expanding a factory: the manufacturer is laying the foundations for a smarter, cleaner, and resolutely future-oriented industrial model.

Hiab zet een volgende stap in zijn industriële strategie met de start van de uitbreiding en modernisering van zijn MULTILIFT-vestiging in Raisio, Finland. Het project, gesteund door een investering van € 19 miljoen, heeft als doel de productiecapaciteit te verhogen en de vestiging tot een Europees voorbeeld voor duurzame productie te maken.

Deze transformatie, ontworpen om te voldoen aan de groeiende vraag vanuit de defensie- en transportsector, zal de productie van MULTILIFT afneembare armsystemen verhogen en tegelijkertijd een modernere, veiligere en efficiëntere werkomgeving creëren.

Maar de ambitie gaat veel verder dan alleen de industriële capaciteit. Hiab wil van Raisio een echte “fabriek van de toekomst” maken door het energieverbruik drastisch te verlagen en te streven naar CO2-neutrale productie. De vestiging zal geleidelijk overstappen van traditionele verwarmingssystemen naar een circulair energiemodel dat industriële warmterecuperatie, zonne-energie en batterijopslag combineert.

Deze aanpak moet niet alleen de ecologische voetafdruk van de fabriek verkleinen, maar ook de energiezekerheid op lange termijn versterken.

De werkzaamheden, die zijn toevertrouwd aan bouwbedrijf NCC, zijn net begonnen en zullen naar verwachting in het vierde kwartaal van 2027 worden afgerond. Het gemoderniseerde complex zal uiteindelijk ook nieuwe kantoorruimtes en een showroom omvatten, waarmee Hiab zijn streven naar een combinatie van industriële groei, technologische innovatie en duurzaamheid onderstreept.

Met dit grootschalige project breidt Hiab niet zomaar een fabriek uit: de fabrikant legt de basis voor een slimmer, schoner en resoluut toekomstgericht industrieel model.
