Le sentiment de l'industrie connaît un ralentissement modéré, mais reste dans la zone positive
Le sentiment de l'industrie du CECE a connu une baisse modérée en mai 2023, mais reste clairement dans la zone positive. Il y a encore une bonne majorité d'entreprises interrogées qui font état d'une croissance des ventes sur le marché européen.
Cependant, une baisse modérée des prises de commandes suggère que le cycle pourrait être proche de sa fin. Le carnet de commandes revient progressivement à des niveaux plus normaux. En ce qui concerne les marchés, l'Amérique du Nord reste de loin celui qui semble le plus optimiste.
En Europe, les attentes sont considérablement positives pour l'Allemagne, la France et les marchés nordiques. Les fabricants sont de plus en plus optimistes quant au marché turc. L'hypothèse selon laquelle le marché chinois aurait pu toucher le fond ne semble pas se matérialiser, et les fabricants européens ne s'enthousiasment pas pour ce marché.

Industry sentiment experiences a moderate downturn, but stays in the positive area
CECE’s industry sentiment experienced a moderate downturn in May 2023, but clearly stays in the positive area. There is still a sound majority of surveyed companies who report of sales growth on the European market.
However, a moderate downturn of order intake suggests that the cycle could be close to its end. Order backlog is gradually getting back to more normal levels. When it comes to markets, North America remains by far the one seen most optimistic.
In Europe, there are considerably positive expectations for Germany, France, and Nordic markets. Manufacturers are increasingly optimistic about the Turkish market. The assumption that the Chinese market could have hit the bottom does not seem to materialize, and European manufacturers don’t get enthusiastic about that market.

Het sectorsentiment ervaart een gematigde neergang, maar blijft in het positieve gebied
Het sentiment in de sector van CECE kende in mei 2023 een gematigde neergang, maar blijft duidelijk positief. Er is nog steeds een ruime meerderheid van de ondervraagde bedrijven die melding maken van omzetgroei op de Europese markt.
Een gematigde daling van de orderontvangst suggereert echter dat de cyclus bijna ten einde zou kunnen zijn. De orderachterstand komt stilaan weer op een meer normaal niveau. Als het om markten gaat, blijft Noord-Amerika verreweg het meest optimistisch.
In Europa zijn er aanzienlijk positieve verwachtingen voor de markten in Duitsland, Frankrijk en Scandinavië. Fabrikanten zijn steeds optimistischer over de Turkse markt. De veronderstelling dat de Chinese markt de bodem had kunnen bereiken, lijkt niet bewaarheid te worden en Europese fabrikanten worden niet enthousiast van die markt.
