L'entrepreneur italien Webuild, en collaboration avec la société japonaise IHI Infrastructure Systems, a terminé les tests de charge sur le pont de Braila en Roumanie, avant son inauguration.

Une fois terminé, le pont sur le Danube sera le deuxième pont suspendu le plus long d'Europe continentale, avec une longueur de 1 975 m et un tablier principal mesurant 1 120 m.
L'équipe de construction a entrepris des tests de charge statiques et dynamiques pour confirmer la stabilité de la structure.
Dans le cadre des tests, le pont a été soumis à des défis, notamment jusqu'à 60 camions, pesant au total 2 400 tonnes, stratégiquement positionnés sur ses tabliers.
Les tests de charge dynamiques ont comporté deux camions traversant le pont à des vitesses allant jusqu'à 80 km/h, évaluant la résistance de la structure aux vibrations.
Webuild a déclaré que des instruments de haute précision à la pointe de la technologie ont été utilisés pour surveiller le comportement du pont en temps réel.
Deux ans de préparation
Commandé par l'entreprise publique roumaine CNAIR pour le compte du ministère de l'Infrastructure, le pont comportera quatre voies, une voie d'urgence et des voies réservées aux cyclistes et aux piétons.
La construction du pont est en cours depuis deux ans. La première phase a vu les ouvriers lever et positionner les deux câbles de support du pont, entrelaçant plus de 18 000 fibres d'acier (plus de 9 000 pour chaque câble), avec un poids combiné de 6 775 tonnes.
À l'été 2022, plus de 250 ouvriers et techniciens ont collaboré pour lever, positionner et installer les 86 sections composant le tablier métallique du pont, chacune pesant 260 tonnes.

Italian contractor Webuild, in collaboration with the Japanese firm IHI Infrastructure Systems, has completed load tests on the Braila Bridge in Romania, ahead of its inauguration.

Once completed, the bridge over the River Danube will be the second longest suspension bridge in continental Europe, with a length of 1,975m and a main deck measuring 1,120m.
The construction team undertook both static and dynamic load tests to confirm the structure’s stability.
As part of the testing the bridge was subjected to challenges, including up to 60 trucks, weighing a total of 2,400 tonnes, being strategically positioned across its decks.
Dynamic load testing featured two trucks driving across the bridge at speeds of up to 80kmh, evaluating the structure’s resistance to vibrations.
Webuild said state-of-the-art high-precision instruments were used to monitor the bridge’s behaviour in real-time.
Two years in the making
Commissioned by the Romanian state-owned company CNAIR on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the bridge will feature four lanes, an emergency lane and dedicated paths for cyclists and pedestrians.
Construction of the bridge has been ongoing for two years, with the first phase seeing workers raising and positioning the bridge’s two supporting cables, intertwining more than 18,000 steel fibres (over 9,000 for each cable), with a combined weight of 6,775 tonnes.
In the summer of 2022, more than 250 workers and technicians collaborated to raise, position and install the 86 sections making up the bridge’s steel deck, with each section weighing 260 tonnes.

De Italiaanse aannemer Webuild heeft in samenwerking met het Japanse bedrijf IHI Infrastructure Systems belastingstests uitgevoerd op de Braila-brug in Roemenië, voorafgaand aan de inhuldiging.

Eenmaal voltooid, zal de brug over de rivier de Donau de op een na langste hangbrug van continentaal Europa zijn, met een lengte van 1.975 meter en een hoofddek van 1.120 meter.
Het bouwteam voerde zowel statische als dynamische belastingstests uit om de stabiliteit van de constructie te bevestigen.
Als onderdeel van het testen werd de brug onderworpen aan uitdagingen, waaronder tot 60 vrachtwagens, met een totaal gewicht van 2.400 ton, die strategisch over de dekken werden geplaatst.
Tijdens dynamische belastingstests reden twee vrachtwagens over de brug met snelheden tot 80 km/u, waarbij de weerstand van de structuur tegen trillingen werd geëvalueerd.
Webuild zei dat ultramoderne, uiterst nauwkeurige instrumenten werden gebruikt om het gedrag van de brug in realtime te volgen.
Twee jaar in de maak
In opdracht van het Roemeense staatsbedrijf CNAIR in opdracht van het ministerie van Infrastructuur wordt de brug voorzien van vier rijstroken, een vluchtstrook en speciale paden voor fietsers en voetgangers.
De bouw van de brug is al twee jaar aan de gang, waarbij in de eerste fase arbeiders de twee ondersteunende kabels van de brug omhoog brachten en positioneerden, waarbij meer dan 18.000 staalvezels (meer dan 9.000 voor elke kabel) met elkaar werden verweven, met een gecombineerd gewicht van 6.775 ton.
In de zomer van 2022 werkten meer dan 250 arbeiders en technici samen om de 86 secties van het stalen dek van de brug op te tillen, te positioneren en te installeren, waarbij elke sectie 260 ton woog.
