Le véhicule utilitaire léger tout électrique IVECO eDaily - dans sa version fourgon de 3,5 tonnes - a remporté le titre officiel GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM pour le "poids le plus lourd remorqué par un fourgon électrique". L'IVECO eDaily est connu pour sa capacité de remorquage inégalée de 3,5 tonnes et son châssis solide basé sur un camion, l'ingénierie robuste de la fourgonnette consolidant désormais sa place dans les livres d'histoire avec un GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM officiel.
Remorquant un poids incroyable de 153,58 tonnes, ce véhicule électrique de série est désormais mondialement reconnu pour ses capacités étendues. En fait, cette réalisation dépasse les records établis par les voitures électriques à traction intégrale, un exploit impressionnant réalisé par la transmission à propulsion arrière de 140 kW d'eDaily avec un couple de 400 Nm.
Le 20 juin 2023, le record eDaily a été attelé à l'énorme camion IVECO X-Way Strator. Cette puissante machine a été spécialement conçue pour faire face à des charges mobiles à grande échelle allant jusqu'à 150 tonnes. La remorque du camion était chargée d'un énorme engin de terrassement pesant plus de 50 tonnes, avec sept tonnes supplémentaires de lest ajoutées pour faire bonne mesure. Un camion benne IVECO X-Way 8x4 entièrement chargé a ensuite été attaché à la remorque du Strator avant qu'un camion de pompiers tout-terrain de l'aéroport ne complète le train routier de 153 tonnes.
Une fois qu'il a commencé à se déplacer, l'eDaily a progressé régulièrement sur les 100 pieds de piste stipulés et a franchi la ligne d'arrivée devant les surveillants GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM pour réclamer son impressionnante distinction. Le mode « haute puissance » de la fourgonnette - installé de série sur chaque eDaily - a été utilisé en marche, ce qui fournit des rafales de puissance supplémentaire dans des conditions de remorquage exigeantes pour la fourgonnette tout électrique. The all-electric light commercial vehicle IVECO eDaily – in its 3.5 tonne van version - has claimed the official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM title for the ‘Heaviest weight towed by an electric van’. The IVECO eDaily is known for its class-leading 3.5 tonne towing capacity and strong truck-based chassis, with the van’s robust engineering now cementing its place in the history books with an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM.
Towing an incredible 153.58 tonnes, this standard production electric vehicle is now globally recognised for its extensive capabilities. In fact, this achievement surpasses records set by all-wheel drive electric cars, an impressive feat delivered by the eDaily’s 140kW rear-wheel drive drivetrain with 400Nm of torque.
On 20th June 2023 the record-breaking eDaily was hitched to the enormous IVECO X-Way Strator truck. This mighty machine was specially engineered to cope with moving large-scale loads of up to 150 tonnes. The truck’s trailer was laden with a huge earth-mover weighing in excess of 50 tonnes, with an additional seven tonnes of ballast being added for good measure. A fully-loaded IVECO X-Way 8x4 tipper truck was then attached to the Strator’s trailer before an all-terrain airport fire truck completed the 153-tonne road train.
Once it started moving the eDaily made steady progress down the stipulated 100ft of runway and crossed the finish line in front of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM invigilators to claim its impressive accolade. The van’s ‘hi- power’ mode - fitted to every eDaily as standard - was utilised on the run which provides bursts of additional power in demanding towing conditions for the all-electric van. Britain’s current Strongest Man, Adam Bishop, drove the eDaily and broke the world record.

De IVECO eDaily staat bekend om zijn toonaangevende trekvermogen van 3,5 ton en zijn sterke vrachtwagenchassis, waarbij de robuuste techniek van de bestelwagen nu zijn plaats in de geschiedenisboeken verstevigt met een officieel GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM.

Toen het eenmaal begon te bewegen, boekte de eDaily gestage vooruitgang langs de voorgeschreven landingsbaan van 100 voet en passeerde de finishlijn voor de GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM-surveillanten om zijn indrukwekkende onderscheiding op te eisen. De 'hi-power'-modus van de bestelwagen - standaard op elke eDaily gemonteerd - werd tijdens het rijden gebruikt, wat zorgt voor uitbarstingen van extra vermogen in veeleisende trekomstandigheden voor de volledig elektrische bestelwagen.
