IVECO participe à la saison 2023 en tant que sponsor technique du « Die Bullen von IVECO », le partenariat entre Team Schwabentruck et Team Hahn Racing. L'équipe est en compétition avec les camions de course IVECO S-Way-R, qui ont été encore améliorés pour offrir des performances exceptionnelles.

L'IVECO S-Way LNG, leader incontesté du gaz pour le transport longue distance durable et construit pour permettre une réduction significative de la consommation de carburant et de la pollution, sera rejoint sur les pistes par un Show Truck unique : l'IVECO eTruck en version course : un prototype camion de course développé par l'équipe Hahn Racing avec le soutien technique de l'ingénierie IVECO et la contribution clé du centre de conception IVECO pour la conception de la cabine. Le véhicule a été dévoilé en exposition statique lors du premier Grand Prix Camion de l'année les 20 et 21 mai à Misano, en Italie, où il a été au centre de l'attention dans le paddock tout au long du week-end. L'IVECO eTruck sera présenté de manière dynamique lors de la course du Nürburgring, en Allemagne, les 15 et 16 juillet.
L'IVECO eTruck est un camion lourd électrique IVECO S-Way équipé d'un eAxle arrière de FPT Industrial - la marque sœur d'IVECO au sein du groupe Iveco et un leader mondial spécialisé dans les technologies avancées de groupe motopropulseur - délivrant 840 kW de puissance maximale. Le système eTruck, avec une puissance de charge maximale de 522 kW, permet au véhicule de parcourir toute la distance d'une course typique, comme les précédentes courses FIA ETRC. Le véhicule est équipé de 4 batteries avec un stockage d'énergie total de 252 kWh.
Le camion IVECO S-Way LNG Pace Truck est propulsé par du bio-GNL stocké dans deux réservoirs de 540 litres contenant au moins 390 kg de bio-GNL liquide, offrant une autonomie allant jusqu'à 1 600 kilomètres sans ravitaillement. Il génère considérablement moins d'émissions d'oxyde d'azote et de particules par rapport à ses équivalents diesel, réduisant les émissions de CO2 jusqu'à 95 % lorsque le biométhane est utilisé.
Le véhicule arborera une livrée spécialement conçue et présentera des caractéristiques personnalisées telles que deux gyrophares jaunes, une barre lumineuse avec phares à LED, un pare-buffle éclairé en trois parties et des clignotants à LED requis par le règlement technique FIA-ETRA.
Jochen Hahn remporte la première victoire de la saison au Gran Prix de Misano, les 20 et 21 mai
Le samedi 20 mai, lors de la première course - qui a débuté sous drapeau jaune en raison des conditions de piste difficiles dues aux conditions météorologiques extrêmes qui ont durement touché la région d'Émilie-Romagne les jours précédents -, Jochen Hahn a remporté la victoire devant Antonio Albacete et André Kursim. La coéquipière d'IVECO, Steffi Halm, était également sur la bonne voie pour une place sur le podium, mais a été forcée de se retirer tôt. Dans une deuxième course passionnante de la journée, l'équipe Hahn Racing s'est battue contre les concurrents pour terminer avec une 5ème position.
Le dimanche 21 mai, Jochen Hahn a profité des conditions de course parfaites du jour. Dans la course finale, il a pris un excellent départ et a poussé son camion tout au long de la course jusqu'à la ligne d'arrivée, clôturant par une victoire et le deuxième podium du week-end pour l'équipe Hahn Racing.
La première manche du FIA ETRC 2023 a été un succès pour l'équipe Die Bullen von IVECO, qui a obtenu une 2e place au classement par équipe.

IVECO makes a stand for sustainability in the European Truck Racing Championship 2023
IVECO is taking part in the FIA ETRC 2023 as Technical Sponsor of “Die Bullen von IVECO” – the partnership between Team Schwabentruck and Team Hahn Racing.
As Official Partner of the ETRC 2023, IVECO is supporting ETRA’s decarbonization targets with its IVECO S-Way LNG Pace Truck and, for the first time, with the IVECO eTruck acting as a Show Truck.
IVECO took a starring role at the Misano Grand Prix on 20-21 May, with a victory for Jochen Hahn in the first race of the European Truck Racing Championship 2023 and Die Bullen von IVECO securing a second position in the team standings.
True to its sustainability core value, IVECO brings its commitment to decarbonization to the FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2023 with its low emission and alternative propulsion vehicles.
IVECO is participating in the 2023 season as Technical Sponsor of the “Die Bullen von IVECO”, the partnership between Team Schwabentruck and Team Hahn Racing. The team is competing with the IVECO S-Way-R race trucks, which have been further upgraded to deliver an outstanding performance.
Six-time European champion Jochen Hahn is heading Team Hahn Racing, which also includes his son Lukas Hahn. He competes to regain his title as Champion, which he won for two years in a row in 2018 and 2019. German driver Steffi Halm is leading the Schwabentruck Team for the fifth season.
The teams’ IVECO S-Way-R trucks will run on Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) in all the Championship’s races, delivering their trademark high levels of performance whilst reducing emissions.
As Official Partner of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship for the 2023 season, IVECO is also supporting the European Truck Racing Association (ETRA) for the third year in a row on its path to net zero target by 2038 with its IVECO S-Way LNG, the first ever Pace Truck with alternative traction in the FIA-ETRC.
The IVECO S-Way LNG, undisputed gas leader for sustainable long-distance haulage and built to achieve a significant reduction in fuel consumption and pollution, will be joined on the tracks by a unique Show Truck: the IVECO eTruck in race version: a prototype race truck developed by Team Hahn Racing with the technical support of IVECO engineering and the key contribution of IVECO Design Centre for the cab design. The vehicle was unveiled in a static display at the first Truck Grand Prix of the year on 20th-21st May in Misano, Italy, where it was the centre of attention in the paddock throughout the weekend. The IVECO eTruck will be shown in a dynamic display at the Nürburgring race, in Germany, on 15th-16th July.
The IVECO eTruck is an electric IVECO S-Way heavy-duty truck equipped with a rear eAxle from FPT Industrial - IVECO's sister Brand within Iveco Group and a global leader specialised in advanced powertrain technologies - delivering 840 kW of maximum power. The eTruck system, with a charge power peak of 522 kW, enables the vehicle to complete the full distance of a typical race, such as previous FIA ETRC races. The vehicle features 4 batteries with a total energy storage of 252 kWh.
The IVECO S-Way LNG Pace Truck is powered by bio-LNG stored in two 540-litre tanks that hold at least 390kg of liquid bio-LNG, providing autonomy of up to 1,600 kilometres without refuelling. It generates considerably lower nitrogen oxide and particulate matter emissions compared to its diesel equivalents, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 95% when biomethane is used.
The vehicle will bear a specially designed livery and showcase custom features such as two yellow rotating beacons, a light bar with LED headlights, an illuminated three-piece bull bar and LED flashers required by FIA-ETRA technical regulations.
Jochen Hahn brings home the first victory of the season at the Misano Gran Prix, May 20th-21st
On Saturday, May 20th, in the first race - which started under yellow flag due to the difficult track conditions due to the extreme weather that have severely affected the Emilia-Romagna region in the previous days -, Jochen Hahn gained the victory ahead of Antonio Albacete and André Kursim. IVECO teammate Steffi Halm was on track for a podium position too but was forced to withdraw early. In an exciting second race of the day, Team Hahn Racing fought hard against the competitors to finish with a 5th position.
On Sunday, May 21st, Jochen Hahn made the most of the perfect racing conditions of the day. In the final race, he got off to a great start and pushed his truck throughout the race to the finish line, closing with a victory and the second podium of the weekend for Team Hahn Racing.
The first round of the 2023 FIA ETRC was a success for Team Die Bullen von IVECO, which achieved a 2nd place in the Team Standings.

Op zondag 21 mei profiteerde Jochen Hahn van de perfecte raceomstandigheden van de dag. In de laatste race kende hij een geweldige start en duwde hij zijn truck de hele race naar de finishlijn, om af te sluiten met een overwinning en het tweede podium van het weekend voor Team Hahn Racing.
De eerste ronde van de FIA ETRC 2023 was een succes voor Team Die Bullen von IVECO, dat een 2e plaats behaalde in het teamklassement.
