JLG Industries, Inc., une société d'Oshkosh Corporation et premier fabricant mondial de plates-formes de travail élévatrices mobiles et de chariots télescopiques, a organisé un événement hybride unique du 9 au 20 mai 2022. Chaque jour, différents groupes de distributeurs et leurs clients d'Europe, d'Amérique latine , le Moyen-Orient, l'Inde et l'Afrique du Sud, ont été accueillis à l'événement New Perspective Live sur le site britannique de la société à Leicester, tandis qu'un événement virtuel se déroulait (et se déroule toujours) simultanément pour ceux qui ne pouvaient pas y assister en personne.
Arrivés par une impressionnante entrée sur mesure retraçant l'histoire de l'entreprise, les invités ont été divertis par une expérience vidéo immersive. Ils ont ensuite eu l'occasion de voir une gamme d'équipements nouveaux et primés exposés et lors de démonstrations, à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur du bâtiment. Cela comprenait la flèche autonivelante 670SJ, la flèche sur chenilles compacte X22JP, la nacelle élévatrice à flèche 860SJ HC3, l'EC450AJ, la série DSP de préparateurs de commandes, la gamme Toucan et les nacelles à ciseaux ERT et RT.
Des présentations principales ont été faites depuis la zone dédiée à l'électrification, qui était flanquée de solutions durables telles que le kit de conversion de moteur électrique et l'élévateur à ciseaux tout électrique DaVinci®. Les visiteurs pouvaient également mettre leurs compétences d'exploitation à l'épreuve dans un jeu de labyrinthe spécialement créé, contrôlant le DaVinci AE1932 à l'aide de l'application téléphonique JLG Mobile Control.
Comme le Royaume-Uni abrite la gamme d'accès bas niveau de JLG, ces produits figuraient en bonne place dans la gamme. Les invités ont été invités à visiter l'usine, à voir la ligne de peinture via un flux vidéo en direct et à voir la zone de démonstration d'accès de bas niveau depuis une position surélevée sur une plate-forme spécialement construite.
Artur Stala, responsable santé et sécurité d'ISG, basé en Allemagne, a déclaré : « Je suis impressionné par la nouvelle usine et le nouvel équipement. Je vois les progrès réalisés en cinq ans depuis que nous avons commencé à utiliser leur équipement d'accès de bas niveau. La journée d'aujourd'hui a été très professionnelle, bien organisée, et les informations et la communication que nous avons reçues étaient parfaites ! »
Pedro Torres, directeur général de Riwal, a conclu : « The New Perspective – c'est un bon événement. Nous avons vu les initiatives d'électrification et le kit de conversion du moteur. Je le sais bien car j'étais ici il y a un mois pour l'événement d'intégration de New Perspective. Nous sommes maintenant revenus avec beaucoup de clients, de nombreux pays et j'ai une bonne perception qu'ils apprennent vraiment et apprécient, donc c'est vraiment bien.
Faire les choses différemment
Pour ceux qui ne peuvent pas assister à l'événement New Perspective en personne, l'événement virtuel continue de fonctionner, offrant un hub de contenu dans 4 zones différentes : produits de base, équipement d'accès de bas niveau, solutions d'électrification et service client. Vous pouvez explorer les produits grâce à la fonctionnalité AR et à des vidéos attrayantes, ainsi que poser des questions aux experts JLG. Le service client est un objectif clé, avec le service, la maintenance, la garantie et les solutions numériques présentées.
Karel Huijser, directeur général de JLG et vice-président d'EMEAIR, a déclaré : « Nous voulions répondre de la même manière à tous les publics avec notre événement New Perspective. C'est formidable de voir que la demande d'événements en direct est de retour, alors que la demande d'environnements virtuels est toujours élevée. C'est pourquoi nous sommes devenus hybrides.

JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company and leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers, hosted a unique hybrid event from 9 to 20 May, 2022. Each day, different groups of distributors and their customers from Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, India and South Africa, were welcomed to the New Perspective Live event at the company’s UK location in Leicester, while a virtual event was (and still is) running simultaneously for those unable to attend in person.
Arriving through an impressive bespoke entry that charted the history of the company, guests were entertained by an immersive video experience. They then had the opportunity to see a range of new and award-winning equipment on display and during demonstrations, both inside and outside the building. This included the 670SJ self-levelling boom, X22JP compact crawler boom, 860SJ HC3 boom lift, EC450AJ, the DSP series of stock pickers, the Toucan range, and the ERT and RT scissor lifts.
Keynote presentations were given from the dedicated electrification area, which was flanked by sustainable solutions such as the electric engine conversion kit and the DaVinci® all-electric scissor lift. Visitors could also put their operating skills to the test in a specially created maze game, controlling the DaVinci AE1932 using the JLG Mobile Control phone app.
As the UK is the home of JLG’s low-level access range, these products were featured prominently in the line-up. Guests were invited to take tours of the factory, see the paint line via a live video feed, and view the low-level access demo area from an elevated position on a specially built platform.
Artur Stala, Health and Safety manager of ISG, based in Germany, said: “I’m impressed by the new factory and the new equipment. I see the progress made in five years since we started using their low-level access equipment. Today has been very professional, well organised, and the information and communication we have received was perfect!”
Pedro Torres, general manager of Riwal, concluded: “The New Perspective – it’s a good event. We have seen the electrification initiatives and the engine conversion kit. I know it well because I was here a month ago for the New Perspective onboarding event. We now came back with plenty of customers, from many countries and I have a good perception that they are really learning and enjoying it, so it’s really good.”
Doing things differently
For those unable to attend the New Perspective event in person, the virtual event continues to run, offering a hub of content in 4 different zones: core products, low-level access equipment, electrification solutions and customer care. You can explore products through AR functionality and engaging videos as well as ask questions of JLG experts. Customer care is a key focus, with service, maintenance, warranty and digital solutions showcased.
Karel Huijser, JLG general manager and vice president for EMEAIR, commented: “We wanted to cater equally to all audiences with our New Perspective event. It’s great to see that the demand for live events is back, while the demand for virtual environments is still high. That is why we went hybrid.

JLG Industries, Inc., een bedrijf van Oshkosh Corporation en toonaangevende wereldwijde fabrikant van mobiele hoogwerkers en verreikers, organiseerde van 9 tot 20 mei 2022 een uniek hybride evenement. Elke dag waren er verschillende groepen distributeurs en hun klanten uit Europa, Latijns-Amerika , het Midden-Oosten, India en Zuid-Afrika werden verwelkomd op het New Perspective Live-evenement op de locatie van het bedrijf in het VK in Leicester, terwijl een virtueel evenement tegelijkertijd plaatsvond (en nog steeds loopt) voor degenen die niet persoonlijk aanwezig konden zijn.
Aangekomen via een indrukwekkende op maat gemaakte inzending die de geschiedenis van het bedrijf in kaart bracht, werden gasten vermaakt door een meeslepende video-ervaring. Vervolgens kregen ze de kans om een reeks nieuwe en bekroonde apparatuur te zien, tentoongesteld en tijdens demonstraties, zowel binnen als buiten het gebouw. We zijn nu teruggekomen met veel klanten, uit veel landen en ik heb het idee dat ze er echt van leren en ervan genieten, dus het is echt goed.”
Dingen anders doen
Voor degenen die het New Perspective-evenement niet persoonlijk kunnen bijwonen, blijft het virtuele evenement doorgaan en biedt het een hub met inhoud in 4 verschillende zones: kernproducten, low-level toegangsapparatuur, elektrificatie-oplossingen en klantenservice. U kunt producten verkennen via AR-functionaliteit en boeiende video's en vragen stellen aan JLG-experts. Klantvriendelijkheid staat centraal, met service, onderhoud, garantie en digitale oplossingen.
Karel Huijser, algemeen directeur van JLG en vice-president van EMEAIR, merkte op: “We wilden alle doelgroepen in gelijke mate bedienen met ons New Perspective-evenement. Het is geweldig om te zien dat de vraag naar live evenementen terug is, terwijl de vraag naar virtuele omgevingen nog steeds groot is. Daarom zijn we hybride gegaan.
