Ducati et MAN Truck & Bus ne sont pas seulement deux marques du groupe Volkswagen, elles sont également toutes deux synonymes de technologies innovantes. C'est pourquoi quatre nouveaux camions MAN TGX 18.520 transportent désormais à la fois le matériel (c'est-à-dire les motos, le matériel d'atelier et les pièces de rechange) et les remorques d'accueil de l'équipe Ducati Lenovo sur tous les circuits européens du Championnat du Monde MotoGP.
Les véhicules ont été remis au PDG de Ducati, Claudio Domenicali, au siège de Ducati à Borgo Panigale (Bologne) par Marc Martinez, directeur général de MAN Truck & Bus Italia.
« Les quatre nouveaux camions MAN, avec leurs 520 ch, sont synonymes de technologie, de confort, de performances et de consommation de carburant efficace. Ces caractéristiques sont nécessaires pour amener le Team Ducati Lenovo de la meilleure façon possible sur les circuits européens du championnat MotoGP », a déclaré Claudio Domenicali, PDG de Ducati. « MAN est certainement le meilleur partenaire avec lequel nous pouvons travailler dans ce domaine. »
Le MotoGP représente la classe supérieure absolue des courses de motos. Un pilote du Ducati Lenovo Team est champion du monde depuis deux ans. Dans le cadre de ce partenariat, MAN et Ducati ont convenu d'une collaboration globale qui comprend une gamme d'activités de communication.

Les quatre MAN TGX 18.520, naturellement dans la couleur rouge typique de Ducati, sont équipés de la plus grande cabine GX et sont propulsés par un moteur diesel six cylindres en ligne de 12,8 litres développant 520 ch et un couple maximal de 2 650 Nm. Le système de remplacement des rétroviseurs MAN OptiView se distingue également parmi la gamme complète d'équipements. Le système de caméra remplace les rétroviseurs et permet ainsi une meilleure vision de l'environnement du véhicule, ce qui profite à la sécurité du conducteur, du chargement et surtout des autres usagers de la route, comme les motocyclistes, les cyclistes et les piétons.
Une attention particulière est également portée au confort du conducteur et à l’ergonomie à bord. Les camions sont équipés de sièges en cuir à suspension pneumatique avec soutien lombaire et réglage des épaules, d'un volant multifonction, d'un tableau de bord numérique de 12,3 pouces, de MAN EasyControl pour commander quatre fonctions directement depuis la porte conducteur ouverte, de lits avec sommier à lattes et réglage de la tête de lit, un réfrigérateur gigogne, divers compartiments de rangement, des prises 12 et 24 V et des ports USB, MAN SmartSelect pour la gestion complète de l'infodivertissement et un système de navigation intégré, le système audio MAN et la MAN RIO Box. Ce dernier permet l'activation de tous les services numériques - de la gestion de flotte et de la maintenance prédictive aux mises à jour logicielles par voie hertzienne.

Four new MAN TGX 18.520 for the Ducati Lenovo Team in MotoGP
Further collaboration between the two Volkswagen Group brands covers the 2024 and 2025 racing seasons

Ducati and MAN Truck & Bus are not only both brands of the Volkswagen Group, they also both stand for innovative technologies. That is why four new MAN TGX 18.520 trucks are now transporting both the equipment (i.e. motorbikes, workshop equipment and spare parts) and the hospitality trailers of the Ducati Lenovo Team to all European circuits of the MotoGP World Championship.
The vehicles have now been handed over to Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali at the Ducati headquarters in Borgo Panigale (Bologna) by Marc Martinez, Managing Director of MAN Truck & Bus Italia.
“The four new MAN trucks with their 520 hp stand for technology, comfort, performance and efficient fuel consumption. These characteristics are needed to bring the Ducati Lenovo Team to the European circuits of the MotoGP championship in the best possible way”, said Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati. “MAN is certainly the best partner we can work with in this area.”
MotoGP represents the absolute top class of motorbike racing. A rider from the Ducati Lenovo Team has been world champion for the last two years. As part of the partnership, MAN and Ducati have agreed a comprehensive collaboration that includes a range of communication activities.

The four MAN TGX 18.520s, naturally in the typical Ducati red colour, are equipped with the largest GX cab and are powered by a 12.8-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine with 520 hp and a maximum torque of 2,650 Nm. The MAN OptiView mirror replacement system also stands out from the comprehensive range of equipment. The camera system replaces the rear-view mirrors and thus enables a better view of the vehicle's surroundings, which benefits the safety of the driver, the load and, above all, other road users - such as motorcyclists, cyclists and pedestrians.
Special attention is also paid to driver comfort and ergonomics on board. The trucks are equipped with air-sprung leather seats with lumbar support and shoulder adjustment, a multifunction steering wheel, a digital 12.3’ instrument panel, MAN EasyControl for operating four functions directly from the open driver's door, beds with slatted frame and headboard adjustment, a pull-out refrigerator, various storage compartments, 12 and 24 V sockets and USB ports, MAN SmartSelect for complete infotainment management and integrated navigation system, MAN sound system and the MAN RIO Box. The latter enables the activation of all digital services - from fleet management and predictive maintenance to software updates over the air.

De vier MAN TGX 18.520’s, uiteraard in de typische Ducati rode kleur, zijn voorzien van de grootste GX-cabine en worden aangedreven door een 12,8 liter zescilinder lijndieselmotor met 520 pk en een maximumkoppel van 2.650 Nm. Ook het spiegelvervangingssysteem MAN OptiView onderscheidt zich van het omvangrijke uitrustingsprogramma. Het camerasysteem vervangt de achteruitkijkspiegels en maakt zo een beter zicht op de omgeving van het voertuig mogelijk, wat de veiligheid van de bestuurder, de lading en vooral andere weggebruikers – zoals motorrijders, fietsers en voetgangers ten goede komt.
Er wordt ook speciale aandacht besteed aan het chauffeurscomfort en de ergonomie aan boord. De vrachtwagens zijn voorzien van luchtgeveerde lederen stoelen met lendensteun en schouderverstelling, een multifunctioneel stuur, een digitaal 12,3' instrumentenpaneel, MAN EasyControl voor de bediening van vier functies direct vanaf het open bestuurdersportier, bedden met lattenbodem en hoofdeindeverstelling, een uittrekbare koelkast, diverse opbergvakken, 12 en 24 V stopcontacten en USB-poorten, MAN SmartSelect voor compleet infotainmentmanagement en geïntegreerd navigatiesysteem, MAN geluidssysteem en de MAN RIO Box. Dit laatste maakt de activering van alle digitale diensten mogelijk - van wagenparkbeheer en voorspellend onderhoud tot software-updates via de ether.
