Manitowoc s’apprête à marquer les esprits lors de Vertikal Days 2025, qui se tiendra les 11 et 12 septembre au Newark Showground, dans le Nottinghamshire. Sur le Stand 419, l’entreprise réunira innovation technologique, engagement client et savoir-faire d’exception autour d’un programme riche en démonstrations et en présentations.

La star du salon : la Grove GMK5150XLe
Vedette incontestée du stand, la nouvelle Grove GMK5150XLe, grue tout-terrain hybride rechargeable, fera ses premiers pas au Royaume-Uni. Lancée à bauma 2025, elle offre une capacité de 150 t et une flèche télescopique de 68,7 m en sept sections, rivalisant en performances avec la version diesel classique. Sa particularité ? Une propulsion zéro émission sur chantier grâce à son mode 100 % électrique et à une batterie de 160 kWh qui peut se recharger en roulant. Des options comme le jib pliant bi-section 9,6/16,2 m ou encore des rallonges de flèche de 8 m et 6 m complètent l’ensemble.

Un hommage au patrimoine : la Hydrocon Clansman restaurée
Les passionnés d’histoire ne manqueront pas l’occasion d’admirer une Hydrocon Clansman de 15 t, datant des années 1970, entièrement restaurée par le programme EnCORE de Manitowoc. Fondée à Glasgow dans les années 1940, Hydrocon a cessé ses activités à la fin des années 1980, mais l’expertise des ingénieurs EnCORE a redonné vie à cette pièce rare, propriété de J&D Pierce Contracts. Ce projet illustre à la fois la maîtrise technique de Manitowoc et son engagement à prolonger la valeur et la durée de vie des grues.

La polyvalence en action : Grove GMK3050-3
Autre modèle à découvrir, la Grove GMK3050-3 de 50 t, reconnue pour ses vitesses élevées sur route, sa simplicité d’utilisation et sa mise en service rapide, même sur les chantiers exigus. La machine exposée appartient à Mann Crane Hire, basé sur l’île de Man.

Au-delà des grues, une large partie du stand sera consacrée aux services après-vente et à l’accompagnement client :

Manitowoc is preparing to make its mark at Vertikal Days 2025, which will be held on September 11th and 12th at the Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire. On Stand 419, the company will combine technological innovation, customer commitment, and exceptional expertise with a program packed with demonstrations and presentations.

Star of the Show: the Grove GMK5150XLe
The undisputed star of the stand, the new Grove GMK5150XLe, a plug-in hybrid all-terrain crane, will make its UK debut. Launched at bauma 2025, it offers a 150 t capacity and a 68.7 m seven-section telescopic boom, rivaling the performance of the conventional diesel version. What's special about it? Zero-emission propulsion on the construction site thanks to its 100% electric mode and a 160 kWh battery that can be recharged while driving. Options such as the 9.6/16.2 m dual-section folding jib and 8 m and 6 m boom extensions complete the package.

A Tribute to Heritage: The Restored Hydrocon Clansman
History buffs won't want to miss the opportunity to admire a 15 t Hydrocon Clansman from the 1970s, fully restored by Manitowoc's EnCORE program. Founded in Glasgow in the 1940s, Hydrocon ceased operations in the late 1980s, but the expertise of EnCORE engineers has revived this rare piece, owned by J&D Pierce Contracts. This project illustrates both Manitowoc's technical mastery and its commitment to extending the value and lifespan of cranes.

Versatility in action: Grove GMK3050-3
Another model to discover is the 50 t Grove GMK3050-3, renowned for its high road speeds, ease of use, and rapid commissioning, even on tight construction sites. The machine on display belongs to Mann Crane Hire, based on the Isle of Man.

A space dedicated to services and connectivity
Beyond cranes, a large portion of the stand will be dedicated to after-sales services and customer support:

live demonstrations of the Grove CONNECT™ and Potain CONNECT™ remote diagnostic platforms,

presentation of spare parts available at UK service centers,

information on training programs for crane operators, technicians, and owners,

highlighting of job opportunities for service technicians,

display of tower crane cables supplied by Certex, Potain crane partner in the UK,

presentation of a BCS camera system,

and, in a nod to the past, the presence of the legendary Potain service van, already acclaimed at bauma.
