L'entreprise néerlandaise de construction modulaire VDL De Meeuw a reçu l'année dernière sa première grue Grove, une GMK5120L. La grue tout-terrain a été mise en service sur sept immeubles résidentiels, comprenant 500 appartements, à NDW21, un quartier en pleine croissance de la ville de Nimègue. La commune de Nimègue et les associations de logement Portaal, SSH&, Talis et Woonwaarts collaborent au développement, tandis que VDL De Meeuw et Heijmans s'occupent de la construction. Le calendrier est serré étant donné la pression locale pour atténuer la pénurie de logements, et 3 200 candidats ont déjà postulé pour les 65 premiers logements.

Pour le processus de construction, VDL De Meeuw produit dans son usine d'Oirschot des modules fabriqués industriellement qui sont ensuite transportés vers le chantier du projet à NDW21. « Notre nouveau Grove GMK5120L accomplit le travail en tant que machine autonome. Nous n’avons pas besoin d’envoyer de contrepoids ou d’équipement supplémentaire par camion. Il s’agit d’un ensemble unique qui nous aide à réaliser le travail de la manière la plus efficace possible », a déclaré Oscar van Sambeek, chef d’équipe des transports chez VDL De Meeuw.

Le Grove GMK5120L d'une capacité de 120 t offre une longue portée avec sa flèche principale de 66 m et ses capacités exceptionnelles de grue de taxi, transportant jusqu'à 14,6 t de contrepoids dans une configuration de 12 t par essieu ou 3,1 t de contrepoids dans une configuration de 10 t par essieu. VDL De Meeuw, a prefab specialist construction company in the Netherlands, received its first Grove crane in March 2023.

The company is using it to construct seven residential buildings in NDW21, a growing neighborhood in the city of Nijmegen.

The crane’s fast performance, taxi capabilities, and excellent load charts make it the perfect choice for the job.

Dutch modular construction company VDL De Meeuw received its first Grove crane, a GMK5120L, last year. The all-terrain crane was put to work on seven residential buildings, comprising 500 apartments, in NDW21, a growing area in the city of Nijmegen. The municipality of Nijmegen and housing associations Portaal, SSH&, Talis, and Woonwaarts are collaborating on the development, and VDL De Meeuw and Heijmans are handling construction. The timeline is tight given local pressure to alleviate the housing shortage, and 3,200 candidates have already applied for the first 65 homes.

For the construction process, VDL De Meeuw produces industrially manufactured modules at its factory in Oirschot which are then transported to the project site in NDW21. Here the GMK5120L must work fast to lift them into position. For the whole development, there are approximately 1,500 modules, with each measuring 7.5 x 3.3 m and weighing between 7 t and 12 t. To place them, the GMK5120L is configured with a main boom of 39.1 m and 30.7 t of counterweight. In this configuration, the crane can lift 12 t to a radius of 22 m. In addition to placing the modules, the crane is also used to install staircases and other items inside the developments.

“Our new Grove GMK5120L completes the work as a one-man machine. We don’t need to send any additional counterweight or equipment by truck. It’s a unique package and is helping us complete the work in the most effective way possible,” said Oscar van Sambeek, team lead of transport at VDL De Meeuw.

The 120 t capacity Grove GMK5120L offers long reach with its 66 m main boom and outstanding taxi crane capabilities, carrying up to 14.6 t counterweight in a 12 t per axle configuration or 3.1 t of counterweight in a 10 t per axle configuration. These taxiing capabilities deliver greater flexibility and lower transportation costs, and the crane is designed to easily adapt to 10 t, 12 t, or 16.5 t per axle allowances, enabling users to select the best set-up for the job.

VDL De Meeuw, een prefab gespecialiseerd bouwbedrijf in Nederland, heeft in maart 2023 haar eerste Grove kraan in ontvangst genomen.

Het bedrijf bouwt er zeven woongebouwen mee in NDW21, een groeiende wijk in de stad Nijmegen.

De snelle prestaties, taximogelijkheden en uitstekende lastdiagrammen van de kraan maken hem tot de perfecte keuze voor deze klus.

Het Nederlandse modulaire bouwbedrijf VDL De Meeuw ontving vorig jaar zijn eerste Grove-kraan, een GMK5120L. De terreinkraan werd ingezet op zeven woongebouwen, bestaande uit 500 appartementen, in NDW21, een groeigebied in de stad Nijmegen. Bij de ontwikkeling werken gemeente Nijmegen en woningbouwverenigingen Portaal, SSH&, Talis en Woonwaarts samen, terwijl VDL De Meeuw en Heijmans de bouw verzorgen. De tijdlijn is krap gezien de lokale druk om het woningtekort te verminderen. Er hebben zich al 3.200 kandidaten aangemeld voor de eerste 65 woningen.

Voor het bouwproces produceert VDL De Meeuw in haar fabriek in Oirschot industrieel vervaardigde modules die vervolgens naar de projectlocatie in NDW21 worden getransporteerd. Hier moet de GMK5120L snel werken om ze op hun plaats te tillen. Voor de hele ontwikkeling zijn er ongeveer 1.500 modules, elk met een afmeting van 7,5 x 3,3 m en een gewicht tussen 7 ton en 12 ton. Om ze te plaatsen is de GMK5120L geconfigureerd met een hoofdmast van 39,1 m en 30,7 ton ballast. In deze configuratie kan de kraan 12 ton hijsen tot een vlucht van 22 meter. “Onze nieuwe Grove GMK5120L voltooit het werk als eenmansmachine. Wij hoeven geen extra contragewicht of materieel per vrachtwagen te versturen. Het is een uniek pakket en helpt ons de werkzaamheden zo effectief mogelijk uit te voeren”, aldus Oscar van Sambeek, teamleider transport bij VDL De Meeuw.

De Grove GMK5120L met een capaciteit van 120 ton biedt een groot bereik met zijn hoofdmast van 66 meter en uitstekende taxikraancapaciteiten, waarbij hij tot 14,6 ton contragewicht kan vervoeren in een configuratie van 12 ton per as of 3,1 ton contragewicht in een configuratie van 10 ton per as. Deze taximogelijkheden zorgen voor meer flexibiliteit en lagere transportkosten, en de kraan is ontworpen om gemakkelijk aan te passen aan een toegestane capaciteit van 10 ton, 12 ton of 16,5 ton per as, waardoor gebruikers de beste opstelling voor de klus kunnen kiezen.
