Sur une grue, une pièce qui semble anodine peut devenir la frontière entre une journée productive et un accident. Derrière les pièces génériques ou contrefaites se cache ainsi un risque que l’industrie du levage ne peut plus ignorer.

À première vue, le calcul paraît séduisant : acheter moins cher, réduire la facture de maintenance. Mais les composants non-OEM ne sont pas nécessairement conçus, testés ou validés selon les mêmes exigences que les pièces d’origine. On a crane, a seemingly innocuous part can become the difference between a productive day and an accident. Behind generic or counterfeit parts lies a risk that the lifting industry can no longer ignore.

At first glance, the calculation seems appealing: buy cheaper, reduce maintenance costs. But non-OEM components are not necessarily designed, tested, or validated according to the same requirements as original parts. At Manitowoc, every element—from the brake to the bolt, from the boom grease to the structural components—contributes to the overall performance of the machine.

The problem often appears later. Bij een kraan kan een ogenschijnlijk onschuldig onderdeel het verschil maken tussen een productieve dag en een ongeluk. Achter generieke of namaakonderdelen schuilt een risico dat de hijsindustrie niet langer kan negeren.

Op het eerste gezicht lijkt de berekening aantrekkelijk: goedkoper kopen, lagere onderhoudskosten. Maar niet-originele onderdelen zijn niet per se ontworpen, getest of gevalideerd volgens dezelfde eisen als originele onderdelen.
