Elmia Subcontractor : avancer ensemble
Le 10 novembre, Carl-Johan Ljung ouvrira l'événement avec sa conférence « 337 Years of Resilient Adaptation: Resilience as a Competitive Advantage ».

From rifles to sewing machines, then chainsaws and robotic lawnmowers: in 337 years, Husqvarna has experienced several industrial revolutions without ever ceasing to reinvent itself. This exceptional longevity will be the focus of the inaugural Elmia Subcontractor conference on November 10 in Sweden.
Carl-Johan Ljung, Husqvarna's SVP of Global Operations, will share the lessons learned from this industrial history and explain why adaptability has become a true competitive advantage.
Anticipating the Unpredictable: A Constant Industrial Challenge
Pandemics, semiconductor shortages, port congestion, tariffs, and geopolitical tensions have profoundly disrupted supply chains.
Husqvarna, in particular, had to cope with a sharp increase in demand during the pandemic, combined with difficulties in sourcing electronic components. This experience has reinforced the need to work more closely with its suppliers and partners.
The group distinguishes three levels of resilience: operational, to manage foreseeable fluctuations; tactical, to react to unforeseen events; and strategic, to remain competitive in the long term.
Suppliers called upon to become true partners
For Husqvarna, tomorrow's competitiveness will no longer rely solely on production capacity. Suppliers will also need to provide three essential elements: competitiveness, innovation, and resilience.
This evolution is particularly important in robotics, where new technologies are accelerating competition and demanding constant adaptation.
Artificial intelligence at the heart of the next transformations
After more than three centuries of evolution, Husqvarna is already looking ahead to the next industrial shifts. Artificial intelligence represents a significant opportunity, provided it is combined with the right skills, appropriate processes, and reliable data.
Elmia Subcontractor: Moving Forward Together
Under the theme "Resilience powered by industry," the 2026 edition of Elmia Subcontractor will highlight the industry's ability to progress through collaboration.
On November 10, Carl-Johan Ljung will open the event with his presentation "337 Years of Resilient Adaptation: Resilience as a Competitive Advantage."
Husqvarna's message is clear: in an industry facing constant uncertainty, the companies that can adapt quickly, innovate, and work together will be the ones that remain globally competitive.

Elmia Subcontractor: Samen vooruit
