Foggy, wet weather in idyllic Gresten in Lower Austria: After 30 years a faithful, long-lasting indoor crane reached the end of its service life.

The operation lasted two days. On the first day, the outdated indoor crane got dismantled so that from 9 a.m. on the following day the starting signal could be given for the assembly of the new indoor crane.

The experienced and passionate crane driver from Schärding in Upper Austria, Stefan Haas, who has been working for the company Mitterhauser for 13 years and has been completely satisfied with PALFINGER cranes for many years, has found his vocation: "What I do here is my hobby, my passion. At home I’m working.”
The upcoming job in Gresten

Before this operation, the flexible loader crane PK 165.002 TEC 7 was used, among other places, at lofty heights, in the middle of a storage power station on the mountain and was able to successfully demonstrate its skills together with Stefan Haas there as well.

Smoothly and within a few minutes, the PK 165.002 TEC 7 is positioned and ready for use.

Crane specialist Stefan can no longer imagine working without the logical, innovative crane guidance of the TEC 7. According to the passionate crane operator, the assembly of the hall crane was a tricky business, but for his PK 165.002 TEC 7 crane it could be carried out with ease.

The crane with the distinctive P-profile has a maximum lifting moment of 124.8 meter-tons - an overhead crane arm weighs around 5 meter-tons - easy for the innovative powerhouse.

Geen last te zwaar, geen locatie te ruig: de PK 165.002 TEC 7 schittert door zijn uitstekende functionaliteit en aanpassingsvermogen.

Mistig, nat weer in het idyllische Gresten in Neder-Oostenrijk: na 30 jaar bereikte een trouwe, duurzame binnenkraan het einde van zijn levensduur.

De operatie duurde twee dagen. De eerste dag werd de verouderde binnenkraan gedemonteerd zodat de volgende dag vanaf 09.00 uur het startsein gegeven kon worden voor de montage van de nieuwe binnenkraan.

De ervaren en gepassioneerde kraanmachinist uit Schärding in Opper-Oostenrijk, Stefan Haas, die al 13 jaar voor de firma Mitterhauser werkt en al jaren volledig tevreden is met PALFINGER-kranen, heeft zijn roeping gevonden: "Wat ik hier doe, is mijn hobby, mijn passie, thuis ben ik aan het werk.”
De aanstaande klus in Gresten

Na aankomst in Gresten, veiligheidsbriefing en opheldering van de situatie kon de montage beginnen. Zonder aarzelen manoeuvreerde Stefan Haas zijn favoriet, de PK 165.002 TEC 7, door de industriële hallen van de firma Welser Profile GmbH.

Het is juist de eenvoudige en intuïtieve bediening die de ervaren kraanmachinist roemt. Volgens hem is de kraan vooral geschikt voor bijzondere werkzaamheden, zoals de montage van binnenkranen, waarbij weinig ruimte is voor diverse manoeuvres en plaatsingen en een hoog rendement vereist is, omdat de productie niet lang stil mag staan.

Vóór deze operatie werd de flexibele autolaadkraan PK 165.002 TEC 7 onder andere op grote hoogte, midden in een opslagkrachtcentrale op de berg, ingezet en kon ook daar samen met Stefan Haas zijn vaardigheden succesvol demonstreren.

Soepel en binnen enkele minuten is de PK 165.002 TEC 7 gepositioneerd en klaar voor gebruik.

Kraanspecialist Stefan kan zich niet meer voorstellen zonder de logische, innovatieve kraangeleiding van de TEC 7 te werken. Ook prijst hij zijn voorgangermodel en eerste eigen kraan, een PK 78.002-SH, “Ook die is super geweest, 8 jaar in gebruik en ik gebruik hem nog steeds graag", maar qua bediening, precisie en nieuwe, handige functies kan hij niet concurreren met zijn nieuwe PK 165.002 TEC 7.

Volgens de gepassioneerde kraanmachinist was de montage van de hallenkraan een lastige klus, maar voor zijn PK 165.002 TEC 7 kraan kon dat prima.

De kraan met het kenmerkende P-profiel heeft een maximaal hefmoment van 124,8 meterton – een bovenloopkraanarm weegt zo’n 5 meterton – makkelijk voor de innovatieve krachtpatser.

Door het overstrekken van de jib en het extra jibsysteem kan de kraanpunt van de PK 165.002 TEC 7 nauwkeurig gepositioneerd worden, waardoor de nieuwe indoorkraan feilloos en bovendien qua tijd efficiënt geplaatst kon worden.

Na nog geen 4 uur op de tweede dag is de montage van de nieuwe binnenkraan succesvol afgerond en kon de productiehal weer in bedrijf worden genomen.
