Dans la région pittoresque de l’Achterhoek, aux Pays-Bas, la restauration du célèbre moulin Hermien a récemment franchi une étape spectaculaire grâce à l’intervention de Pfeifer Group. Le spécialiste néerlandais du levage a déployé sa grue tout-terrain Grove GMK5150XL afin de remplacer avec une extrême précision les ailes du moulin, chacune pesant près de 3 tonnes.

Symbole emblématique du village de Harreveld depuis 1819, le moulin Hermien fait actuellement l’objet d’une vaste campagne de rénovation avant sa réouverture officielle au public prévue en avril 2026. Parmi les opérations les plus délicates figurait le remplacement des pales du moulin, une mission nécessitant à la fois portée, stabilité et précision millimétrique.

Pour relever ce défi, Pfeifer Group a configuré sa GMK5150XL avec 12,5 tonnes de contrepoids et une flèche principale de 55,9 mètres. Cette configuration a permis de positionner les nouvelles ailes à un rayon de 18 mètres en toute sécurité, tout en respectant l’intégrité de ce monument historique vieux de plus de deux siècles.

Selon Gerrit Pfeifer, directeur et propriétaire de l’entreprise, la précision du système de contrôle de la grue a été déterminante pour mener à bien cette intervention sensible :

« La précision du système Crane Control System de la GMK5150XL nous a donné une confiance totale pour intervenir sur un monument historique aussi délicat. La grue offre une excellente portée et une puissance remarquable, tout en restant simple à transporter, à installer et à démonter. Nous sommes fiers de contribuer à la préservation d’un élément aussi important du patrimoine local. »

Construite en 1819 par le docteur JJS van Raesfelt afin d’approvisionner la communauté locale en farine, l’éolienne Hermien est aujourd’hui gérée par la fondation de préservation « Hermien Belt-Driven Grain Mill Preservation Foundation ». Lors de son bicentenaire en 2019, le site avait même reçu la visite de Beatrix of the Netherlands.

La Grove GMK5150XL se distingue par sa flèche principale MEGAFORM® de 68,7 mètres, offrant des performances de levage de premier plan dans sa catégorie. Conçue pour maximiser la mobilité sur route, elle peut également transporter jusqu’à 10,2 tonnes de contrepoids tout en respectant les limites de charge de 12 tonnes par essieu. Avec une largeur compacte de seulement 2,75 mètres, le modèle combine maniabilité, rapidité de déploiement et efficacité opérationnelle sur des chantiers complexes.

In the picturesque Achterhoek region of the Netherlands, the restoration of the famous Hermien Mill recently reached a spectacular milestone thanks to the intervention of Pfeifer Group. The Dutch lifting specialist deployed its Grove GMK5150XL all-terrain crane to replace the mill's sails, each weighing nearly 3 tons, with extreme precision.

An iconic symbol of the village of Harreveld since 1819, the Hermien Mill is currently undergoing extensive renovations before its official reopening to the public, scheduled for April 2026. Among the most delicate operations was the replacement of the mill's sails, a task requiring reach, stability, and millimeter precision.

To meet this challenge, Pfeifer Group configured its GMK5150XL with 12.5 tons of counterweight and a main boom of 55.9 meters. This configuration allowed the new sails to be positioned safely at a radius of 18 meters, while respecting the integrity of this historic monument, which is over two centuries old.

According to Gerrit Pfeifer, director and owner of the company, the precision of the crane's control system was crucial in carrying out this delicate operation:

Built in 1819 by Dr. JJS van Raesfelt to supply the local community with flour, the Hermien windmill is now managed by the Hermien Belt-Driven Grain Mill Preservation Foundation. During its bicentennial celebrations in 2019, the site was even visited by Beatrix of the Netherlands.

In de pittoreske Achterhoek heeft de restauratie van de beroemde Hermienmolen onlangs een spectaculaire mijlpaal bereikt dankzij de tussenkomst van Pfeifer Group. De Nederlandse hijsspecialist zette zijn Grove GMK5150XL terreinkraan in om de wieken van de molen, die elk bijna 3 ton wegen, met uiterste precisie te vervangen.

De Hermienmolen, een iconisch symbool van het dorp Harreveld sinds 1819, ondergaat momenteel een uitgebreide renovatie voordat hij in april 2026 officieel heropend wordt voor het publiek. Een van de meest delicate werkzaamheden was het vervangen van de wieken, een klus die reikwijdte, stabiliteit en millimeterprecisie vereiste.
