Cinq grues à tour Potain à toit plat assurent les tâches de levage sur le projet de l'aéroport international de Noida, au sud de la ville de New Delhi, en Inde.

La marque de grues Manitowoc basée aux États-Unis, Potain, disposera de cinq grues à tour à toit plat sur le site : trois MCT 385 As et deux MCT 565 As.

Les grues contribuent à la construction du terminal principal, dont l'ouverture est prévue plus tard en 2024. L'entreprise de construction basée en Inde, Tata Projects, dirige le projet.

Le MCT 565 A M25 lève 25 tonnes et a une longueur de flèche allant jusqu'à 80 mètres. Les grues soulèvent des charges allant jusqu'à 4 tonnes. La hauteur autonome sous crochet est de 60,9 mètres.

« En collaboration avec Lift Solutions de Manitowoc, Tata a étendu cette portée jusqu'à une longueur impressionnante de 85 mètres, permettant ainsi une plus grande couverture du chantier », a déclaré Manitowoc.

Les MCT 385 A L16, d'une capacité de 16 tonnes, ont été configurés avec des flèches de 75 mètres et une hauteur sous crochet de 61,4 mètres.

« Le calendrier de construction est très serré, la fiabilité et la vitesse de la grue sont donc cruciales », a souligné Manitowoc.

Alok Banik, directeur général adjoint de Tata Projects, a déclaré que la récente commande était un signe de la relation fiable entre Tata et Potain au fil des décennies. « Nos anciennes grues Potain ont obtenu des performances remarquables », a déclaré Banik, ajoutant « dont certaines fonctionnent depuis plus de 25 ans sans panne ».

Tata possède plus de 50 grues Potain. Les projets précédents de Tata en Inde utilisant Potains incluent le nouveau bâtiment du Parlement (2023, New Delhi) et le projet Chennai Metro Rail (2015, extensions en cours).
Quand l’aéroport international de Noida ouvrira-t-il ?

L'aéroport international de Noida est en développement depuis plus de deux décennies, les premières discussions ayant débuté en 2001.

Le projet a été suspendu après 2008, mais un nouveau régime gouvernemental a alloué des terrains pour le projet en 2014. En 2018, l'approbation du gouvernement fédéral et du district a été obtenue et la construction a commencé en 2022.

La construction de l'aéroport à deux pistes a atteint 50 % en octobre 2023 et devrait subir des tests en mars de cette année. Les vols inauguraux sont prévus pour octobre 2024.
Il devrait s’agir du plus grand aéroport d’Inde.

Five flat top Potain tower cranes manage lifting duties on the Noida International Airport project south of the city of New Delhi, India.

The USA-based Manitowoc crane brand, Potain, will have five flat top tower cranes at the site: three MCT 385 As and two MCT 565 As.

The cranes are helping to construct the main terminal, which is planned to open later in 2024. India-based construction firm Tata Projects is leading the scheme.

The MCT 565 A M25 lifts 25 tonnes and has a jib length up to 80 metres. The cranes are lifting loads up to 4 tonnes. Freestanding height under hook is 60.9 metres.

“In collaboration with Manitowoc’s Lift Solutions, Tata extended this reach to an impressive 85 metres, allowing for greater jobsite coverage,” said Manitowoc.

The MCT 385 A L16s, which have a capacity of 16 tonnes, have been configured with 75 metre jibs and height under hook of 61.4 metres.

“The timeline for construction is very tight, so reliability and crane speed are crucial,” noted Manitowoc.

Alok Banik, Tata Projects deputy general manager, said the recent order was a sign of the reliable relationship between Tata and Potain through the decades. “We’ve had remarkable performance from our older Potain cranes,” said Banik, adding “some of which have been in operation for more than 25 years without a breakdown.”

Tata owns more than 50 Potain cranes. Previous Tata projects in India using Potains include the New Parliament Building (2023, New Delhi) and the Chennai Metro Rail project (2015, expansions on-going).
When will the Noida International Airport open?

Noida International Airport has been in development for more than two decades, as initial discussions started in 2001.

It was put on hold after 2008 but a new government regime allocated land for the project in 2014. By 2018 federal and district approval passed and construction started in 2022.

The two-runway airport reached 50 per cent completion on the build in October 2023 and is expected to endure testing in March this year. Inaugural flights are planned for October 2024.
It is expected to be India’s largest airport.

Vijf Potain-torenkranen met platte bovenkant voeren hijswerkzaamheden uit op het Noida International Airport-project ten zuiden van de stad New Delhi, India.

Het in de VS gevestigde kraanmerk Potain uit Manitowoc zal op de locatie vijf torenkranen met platte bovenkant hebben: drie MCT 385 As en twee MCT 565 As.

De kranen helpen bij de bouw van de hoofdterminal, die naar verwachting later in 2024 wordt geopend. Het in India gevestigde bouwbedrijf Tata Projects leidt het project.

De MCT 565 A M25 hijst 25 ton en heeft een jiblengte tot 80 meter. De kranen hijsen lasten tot 4 ton. Vrijstaande hoogte onder haak is 60,9 meter.

“De tijdlijn voor de bouw is erg krap, dus betrouwbaarheid en kraansnelheid zijn cruciaal”, aldus Manitowoc.

Alok Banik, adjunct-algemeen directeur van Tata Projects, zei dat de recente order een teken was van de betrouwbare relatie tussen Tata en Potain door de decennia heen. “We hebben opmerkelijke prestaties geleverd met onze oudere Potain-kranen”, zegt Banik, eraan toevoegend “waarvan sommige al meer dan 25 jaar zonder storingen in bedrijf zijn.”

Wanneer gaat de internationale luchthaven Noida open?

Noida International Airport is al meer dan twintig jaar in ontwikkeling, toen de eerste discussies in 2001 begonnen.

Het werd na 2008 opgeschort, maar een nieuw regeringsregime wees in 2014 land toe voor het project. In 2018 werd de federale en districtsgoedkeuring goedgekeurd en begon de bouw in 2022.

De luchthaven met twee banen bereikte in oktober 2023 de voltooiing van 50 procent en zal naar verwachting in maart van dit jaar worden getest. Inaugurele vluchten zijn gepland voor oktober 2024.
Er wordt verwacht dat het de grootste luchthaven van India zal zijn.
