Depuis 35 ans, Bauer MAT Slurry Handling Systems façonne l’avenir des technologies de mélange, de transport et de séparation des boues pour les chantiers de fondations spéciales et les tunnels du monde entier. L’entreprise, née en 1990 sous l’impulsion visionnaire de Josef Soier et de ses partenaires Manfred Kleimeier et Ernst-Wolfram Blaschke, est partie d’une idée simple : créer des systèmes de boues plus efficaces, plus transportables et adaptés aux besoins réels du terrain. Trois décennies plus tard, cette philosophie reste inchangée.

« Notre technologie évolue, notre engagement demeure : proposer des solutions solides et pratiques pour le chantier », résume Rainer Rossbach, responsable de la branche Bauer MAT.

Au fil des années, la société a consolidé son expertise, passant des premiers mélangeurs mobiles à des installations complètes destinées aux fondations spéciales, aux tunneliers, au forage profond et à l’industrie des matériaux. Cette maîtrise intégrée permet aujourd’hui à chaque foreuse Klemm ou à chaque système de coupe du groupe Bauer d’être livrés avec des solutions de mélange et de séparation parfaitement adaptées — le tout d’une seule main.

Une ascension marquée par l’innovation

L’entrée dans le secteur du creusement mécanique des tunnels marque un tournant. Avec la BE 2550, sa plus grande installation de séparation — capable de traiter jusqu’à 2 400 m³ de fluide par heure — Bauer MAT a ouvert la voie à des projets d’envergure comme le tunnel d’Eppenberg en Suisse.
En 2019, l’acquisition de Mühlhäuser-Obermann GmbH, devenue Obermann MAT, enrichit l’offre avec des pompes d’injection et de coulis. Le succès commun se traduit par l’IPA 250-E, présentée à bauma 2025, ou encore par une nouvelle méthode d’échange rapide des rotors de centrifugeuses, réduisant drastiquement les temps d’arrêt.

Pour répondre à cette croissance, Bauer MAT a étendu son site en 2025 et peut désormais produire plus de 250 installations par an, soutenue par une logistique modernisée incluant grue-tour et nouveau véhicule de transport.

Digitalisation, durabilité et réactivité

La digitalisation s’est imposée comme un pilier de la stratégie : les installations modernes collectent et analysent automatiquement leurs données, optimisant le déploiement des machines et réduisant les arrêts imprévus. La durabilité devient également une priorité, avec moins de systèmes diesel, plus de machines économes en énergie et des programmes de seconde vie pour les équipements reconditionnés.

L’introduction d’un supply chain management complet a permis de raccourcir fortement les délais de livraison — un avantage stratégique salué par les clients.

Un marché en pleine diversification

Autrefois centrée presque exclusivement sur les fondations spéciales, Bauer MAT couvre aujourd’hui un spectre plus large.
La répartition actuelle des ventes illustre cette transformation :

For 35 years, Bauer MAT Slurry Handling Systems has been shaping the future of slurry mixing, conveying, and separation technologies for special foundation and tunnel construction sites worldwide. Founded in 1990 by the visionary Josef Soier and his partners Manfred Kleimeier and Ernst-Wolfram Blaschke, the company started with a simple idea: to create more efficient, transportable slurry systems tailored to the real needs of the site. Three decades later, this philosophy remains unchanged.

"Our technology evolves, but our commitment remains: to offer robust and practical solutions for the construction site," summarizes Rainer Rossbach, Head of the Bauer MAT Division.

Over the years, the company has consolidated its expertise, progressing from early mobile mixers to complete systems for special foundations, tunnel boring machines, deep drilling, and the materials industry. This integrated expertise now allows every Klemm drilling rig or Bauer Group cutting system to be delivered with perfectly matched mixing and separation solutions – all from a single source.

A rise marked by innovation

Entering the mechanical tunneling sector marked a turning point. With the BE 2550, its largest separation system – capable of processing up to 2,400 m³ of fluid per hour – Bauer MAT paved the way for large-scale projects such as the Eppenberg Tunnel in Switzerland.
In 2019, the acquisition of Mühlhäuser-Obermann GmbH, now Obermann MAT, expanded the product range to include injection and grout pumps. This shared success is exemplified by the IPA 250-E, presented at bauma 2025, and a new method for quickly replacing centrifuge rotors, drastically reducing downtime.

To meet this growth, Bauer MAT expanded its site in 2025 and can now produce more than 250 installations per year, supported by modernized logistics including a tower crane and a new transport vehicle.

Digitalization, Sustainability, and Responsiveness

Digitalization has become a cornerstone of the strategy: modern installations automatically collect and analyze their data, optimizing machine deployment and reducing unplanned downtime. Sustainability is also a priority, with fewer diesel systems, more energy-efficient machines, and second-life programs for refurbished equipment.

The introduction of comprehensive supply chain management has significantly shortened delivery times—a strategic advantage appreciated by customers.

A Diversifying Market

Formerly focused almost exclusively on special foundations, Bauer MAT now covers a broader spectrum. The current sales breakdown illustrates this transformation:

Al 35 jaar geeft Bauer MAT Slurry Handling Systems vorm aan de toekomst van meng-, transport- en scheidingstechnologieën voor funderings- en tunnelbouwprojecten wereldwijd. Het bedrijf werd in 1990 opgericht door de visionaire Josef Soier en zijn partners Manfred Kleimeier en Ernst-Wolfram Blaschke met een eenvoudig idee: efficiëntere, verplaatsbare slurrysystemen ontwikkelen die zijn afgestemd op de daadwerkelijke behoeften van de bouwplaats. Drie decennia later is deze filosofie nog steeds onveranderd.

"Onze technologie evolueert, maar onze toewijding blijft: robuuste en praktische oplossingen bieden voor de bouwplaats", vat Rainer Rossbach, hoofd van de Bauer MAT-divisie, samen.

In de loop der jaren heeft het bedrijf zijn expertise geconsolideerd en is het geëvolueerd van vroege mobiele mengers naar complete systemen voor speciale funderingen, tunnelboormachines, diepboringen en de materialenindustrie. Dankzij deze geïntegreerde expertise kan elke Klemm-boorinstallatie of Bauer Group-snijmachine nu worden geleverd met perfect op elkaar afgestemde meng- en scheidingsoplossingen – alles uit één hand.

Een opmars gekenmerkt door innovatie

De intrede in de mechanische tunnelbouwsector betekende een keerpunt. Met de BE 2550, het grootste scheidingssysteem – met een capaciteit van maximaal 2.400 m³ vloeistof per uur – effende Bauer MAT de weg voor grootschalige projecten zoals de Eppenbergtunnel in Zwitserland.

In 2019 breidde de overname van Mühlhäuser-Obermann GmbH, nu Obermann MAT, het productaanbod uit met injectie- en groutpompen. Dit gezamenlijke succes wordt geïllustreerd door de IPA 250-E, gepresenteerd op bauma 2025, en een nieuwe methode voor het snel vervangen van centrifugerotoren, waardoor de stilstandtijd drastisch wordt verkort.

Om aan deze groei te voldoen, heeft Bauer MAT in 2025 zijn vestiging uitgebreid en kan nu meer dan 250 installaties per jaar produceren, ondersteund door gemoderniseerde logistiek, waaronder een torenkraan en een nieuw transportvoertuig.

Digitalisering, duurzaamheid en responsiviteit

Digitalisering is een hoeksteen van de strategie geworden: moderne installaties verzamelen en analyseren automatisch hun gegevens, waardoor de inzet van machines wordt geoptimaliseerd en ongeplande stilstand wordt verminderd. Duurzaamheid is ook een prioriteit, met minder dieselsystemen, energiezuinigere machines en programma's voor hergebruik van gereviseerde apparatuur.
