À Pangkalan Kerinci, en Indonésie, le groupe Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper (RAPP), filiale d’APRIL Group et exploitant de l’une des plus grandes papeteries d’Asie du Sud-Est, a renforcé sa logistique bois avec la mise en service de neuf pelles de manutention SENNEBOGEN 830 E en avril 2024.

Ces machines sont dédiées à la manutention intensive du bois, une activité critique pour l’usine, où tout retard d’approvisionnement peut impacter directement la production. Conçues pour fonctionner en continu dans des conditions tropicales extrêmes — chaleur, forte humidité et poussières —, les 830 E intègrent un système de refroidissement performant, un ventilateur réversible et des points de maintenance facilement accessibles, garantissant une disponibilité élevée en exploitation trois-huit.

Chaque machine traite jusqu’à 270 tonnes de bois par jour grâce à une portée de 13 mètres et à des commandes hydrauliques précises, permettant des opérations rapides de déchargement, de tri et de stockage. La consommation de carburant est contenue à 19 litres par heure, contribuant à la réduction des coûts d’exploitation et des émissions.

Montées sur châssis mobiles, les machines peuvent être repositionnées rapidement sur l’ensemble du parc sans moyens de transport additionnels, offrant une grande flexibilité opérationnelle. Les opérateurs saluent également le confort et la sécurité de la cabine Maxcab, qui offre une excellente visibilité, une ergonomie intuitive et une climatisation adaptée au climat local.

At Pangkalan Kerinci, Indonesia, the Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper (RAPP) Group, a subsidiary of APRIL Group and operator of one of Southeast Asia’s largest paper mills, has strengthened its timber logistics with the commissioning of nine SENNEBOGEN 830 E material handlers in April 2024.

These machines are dedicated to intensive timber handling, a critical activity for the mill, where any supply delays can directly impact production. Designed for continuous operation in extreme tropical conditions—heat, high humidity, and dust—the 830 E machines incorporate a high-performance cooling system, a reversible fan, and easily accessible maintenance points, ensuring high availability in three-shift operation.

Each machine processes up to 270 tons of timber per day thanks to a 13-meter reach and precise hydraulic controls, enabling rapid unloading, sorting, and storage operations. Fuel consumption is kept to a low 19 liters per hour, contributing to reduced operating costs and emissions.

Mounted on mobile chassis, the machines can be quickly repositioned throughout the yard without additional transport, offering high operational flexibility. Operators also appreciate the comfort and safety of the Maxcab, which provides excellent visibility, intuitive ergonomics, and climate control adapted to the local climate.

Beyond machine performance, RAPP emphasizes SENNEBOGEN's reliability as a long-term partner. Since their commissioning, the nine 830 E machines have significantly improved productivity and streamlined timber handling operations on site.
