Onder een winterse hemel opende het bedrijf zijn gloednieuwe Europese hoofdkantoor en technologiecentrum in, een symbool van ambitie, innovatie en duurzame wortels op het continent.

Het evenement was meer dan alleen een opening van een gebouw: het markeerde een belangrijke strategische stap voor de Japanse fabrikant. Ongeveer 70 eregasten maakten de reis: vertegenwoordigers van lokale overheden, belangrijke partners, architecten, bouwbedrijven en regionale economische spelers. Onder de aanwezigen waren onder meer de provincie Flevoland en de burgemeester van Lelystad, Mieke Baltus, die blijk gaven van de krachtige steun van lokale instellingen. Samen met hen toverden alle KCME-medewerkers en bijna 147 dealers uit heel Europa de ceremonie om tot een waarlijk internationale bijeenkomst.
