Port Houston renforce sa vaste flotte de RTG Konecranes avec une commande de 16 RTG hybrides Konecranes. Le contrat a été signé au premier trimestre 2025 et la livraison est prévue pour le premier semestre 2026. Par ailleurs, Konecranes Port Services modernisera huit RTG Konecranes actuellement en service au port. Les travaux seront achevés d'ici le quatrième trimestre 2025.

Situé sur la côte américaine du Golfe du Mexique, Port Houston est une plaque tournante essentielle pour le commerce et l'industrie internationaux. Il gère un trafic de conteneurs supérieur à celui de tout autre port du Golfe et figure parmi les ports les plus actifs des États-Unis.

Port Houston compte depuis longtemps sur les RTG Konecranes pour gérer son trafic important. Grâce à ces nouvelles commandes, le port exploitera une flotte de 163 RTG Konecranes, dont 73 modèles hybrides.

Les 16 nouveaux RTG hybrides Konecranes, conçus pour une capacité de gerbage de 1 sur 6, seront équipés de fonctionnalités intelligentes avancées telles que la direction automatique, la prévention des collisions avec les conteneurs et la prévention des levées de camions. Leurs groupes motopropulseurs hybrides permettent au port de réduire ses émissions et ses coûts de carburant.

Les huit modernisations intégreront les mêmes fonctionnalités intelligentes, ainsi que la prévention des collisions avec les portiques, la direction automatique et de nouvelles chaînes porte-câbles. Réalisées par Konecranes Port Services, ces modernisations prolongeront la durée de vie d'une partie importante de la flotte existante de grues portiques Konecranes et les adapteront aux dernières technologies et normes de sécurité.

Konecranes Port Services will retrofit eight existing RTGs at Port Houston by Q4 2025.

The new hybrid RTGs feature advanced Smart Features like Auto-steering, Stack Collision Prevention, and Truck Lift Prevention.

The retrofits will add Smart Features and extend the lifespan of the existing RTGs, aligning them with the latest technology and safety standards.

Port Houston's investment in Konecranes RTGs supports long-term growth and operational efficiency.

This contract aligns with Konecranes' Ecolifting vision to enhance environmental impact and reduce carbon footprints.

Port Houston is adding to its large Konecranes RTG fleet with an order for 16 hybrid Konecranes RTGs. The deal was booked in Q1 2025 and delivery is scheduled for H1 2026. In addition, Konecranes Port Services will retrofit eight existing Konecranes RTGs currently operating at the port. The retrofits will be completed by Q4 2025.

Located on the U.S. Gulf Coast, Port Houston is a key hub for international trade and industry. It handles more container traffic than any other port on the Gulf and ranks among the busiest ports in the United States.

Port Houston has long counted on Konecranes RTGs to handle its high-volume traffic. With these new orders, the port will be operating a fleet of 163 Konecranes RTGs – including 73 hybrid models.

The 16 new hybrid Konecranes RTGs, designed for 1-over-6 stacking capacity, will be equipped with advanced Smart Features such as Auto-steering, Stack Collision Prevention and Truck Lift Prevention. Their hybrid power units enable the port to reduce emissions and save on fuel costs.

The eight retrofits will add the same Smart Features, as well as Gantry Collision Prevention, Auto-Steering and new E-Chains. Carried out by Konecranes Port Services, the retrofits will extend the lifetime of an important part of the port authority’s existing Konecranes RTG fleet and align them with the latest technology and safety standards.

De nieuwe hybride RTG's zijn voorzien van geavanceerde Smart Features zoals Auto-steering, Stack Collision Prevention en Truck Lift Prevention.

De ombouw voegt Smart Features toe en verlengt de levensduur van de bestaande RTG's, door ze af te stemmen op de nieuwste technologie en veiligheidsnormen.

De investering van Port Houston in Konecranes RTG's ondersteunt de groei op de lange termijn en operationele efficiëntie.

Dit contract is in lijn met Konecranes' Ecolifting-visie om de impact op het milieu te vergroten en de CO2-voetafdruk te verkleinen.

Port Houston breidt zijn grote Konecranes RTG-vloot uit met een bestelling voor 16 hybride Konecranes RTG's. De deal werd geboekt in Q1 2025 en de levering staat gepland voor H1 2026. Daarnaast zal Konecranes Port Services acht bestaande Konecranes RTG's die momenteel in de haven actief zijn, ombouwen. De ombouw zal in Q4 2025 afgerond zijn.
