La construction du nouveau viaduc de la vallée de Rahmede, l’un des projets d’infrastructure les plus stratégiques de Rhénanie-du-Nord–Westphalie, progresse à un rythme soutenu depuis le lancement des travaux en octobre 2023.

Au cœur de ce chantier d’envergure, deux grues Liebherr 340 EC-B 16 à flèche relevable, fournies par le spécialiste BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH, assurent un rôle central dans l’édification de l’ouvrage.

Des levages de précision pour un chantier complexe

Avec leurs flèches de 75 mètres (246 pieds) et des hauteurs sous crochet de 61 et 65 mètres (200 et 213 pieds), ces grues à tête plate garantissent la fluidité des opérations de levage, qu’il s’agisse du coulage du béton ou de l’assemblage des éléments structurels du pont, long de 453 mètres (1 486 pieds).

Depuis les fondations et la réalisation des huit piles principales jusqu’au bétonnage des tabliers, elles accompagnent chaque étape clé. Leur stabilité, combinée à des processus de transport et de montage optimisés, confirme la pertinence de la série EC-B pour des projets d’infrastructure aussi exigeants que celui de Rahmede.

Two Liebherr cranes support the construction of the new Rahmede Valley Bridge

Construction of the new Rahmede Valley Viaduct, one of the most strategic infrastructure projects in North Rhine-Westphalia, has been progressing at a rapid pace since construction began in October 2023.

At the heart of this major project, two Liebherr 340 EC-B 16 luffing jib cranes, supplied by the specialist BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH, are playing a central role in the construction of the structure.

Precision Lifting for a Complex Project

With their 75-meter (246-foot) booms and hook heights of 61 and 65 meters (200 and 213 feet), these flat-head cranes ensure smooth lifting operations, whether pouring concrete or assembling the structural elements of the 453-meter (1,486-foot) long bridge.

From the foundations and construction of the eight main piers to the concreting of the decks, they support every key stage. Their stability, combined with optimized transport and assembly processes, confirms the suitability of the EC-B series for infrastructure projects as demanding as Rahmede.

Van de fundering en de bouw van de acht hoofdpijlers tot het storten van beton op de dekken, ze ondersteunen elke belangrijke fase. Hun stabiliteit, gecombineerd met geoptimaliseerde transport- en montageprocessen, bevestigt de geschiktheid van de EC-B-serie voor infrastructuurprojecten die zo veeleisend zijn als die van Rahmede.
