Big Rentals, une place de marché en ligne basée à Los Angeles et spécialisée dans la location d’équipements, vient de lever 2,8 millions de dollars en financement d’amorçage. Cette nouvelle injection de capital permettra à l’entreprise d’accélérer son entrée sur le marché de la construction et des équipements lourds, un segment en forte croissance.

Fondée en 2023 par son CEO Pablo Fernandez, Big Rentals s’est d’abord imposée dans la location de remorques grâce à un réseau de partenaires répartis aux États-Unis. Face à l'intérêt grandissant pour les équipements de chantier sur sa plateforme, l’entreprise a décidé d’élargir officiellement son offre à ce secteur, capitalisant sur une traction déjà solide.

Le financement soutiendra également HQRent, la division logicielle sœur de Big Rentals, qui équipe les entreprises de location indépendantes d’outils numériques pour gérer les réservations, les paiements et l’exploitation de leur flotte. Une manière d’apporter à ces acteurs locaux la même puissance technologique que celle des grands groupes nationaux.

« Trop longtemps, les entreprises de location locales ont dû bricoler avec des outils désuets, du papier et des tableurs », explique Pablo Fernandez. « Nous mettons entre leurs mains les technologies des grandes chaînes pour permettre à chacun de lancer et développer facilement une activité de location professionnelle. »

Développeur logiciel de formation, Fernandez dirige également Roadmoto, une entreprise physique de location de remorques en Californie, ce qui lui donne une vision à la fois numérique et opérationnelle du marché.

Le tour de table a été mené par SNAK Venture Partners, avec la participation d’Ironspring Ventures, Forum Ventures, le LAUNCH Fund de Jason Calacanis et NuFund Venture Group. Big Rentals, a Los Angeles-based online marketplace specializing in equipment rentals, has just raised $2.8 million in seed funding. This new capital injection will allow the company to accelerate its entry into the construction and heavy equipment market, a rapidly growing segment.

Founded in 2023 by CEO Pablo Fernandez, Big Rentals initially established itself in the trailer rental market through a network of partners across the United States.
