L’accord inclut l’ensemble des activités de Swecon en Suède, en Allemagne et dans les pays baltes, ainsi que Entrack, spécialiste des trains de roulement et des outils d’attaque au sol, intégré au périmètre depuis septembre 2024. C’est toute la chaîne de valeur qui rejoint aujourd’hui Volvo CE : vente de machines et de services, location, support aftermarket, sans oublier les bureaux, ateliers et infrastructures opérationnelles.

Avec cette acquisition, 1 400 collaborateurs intègrent les équipes de Volvo CE, renforçant encore la proximité avec les clients et la capacité du groupe à offrir un service complet et intégré sur les marchés clés européens.

Pour accompagner cette nouvelle dynamique, Tomas Kuta a été nommé à la tête de l’entité. Ancien responsable des ventes Volvo CE pour la région Asie, il prendra officiellement ses fonctions le 1er mars, succédant à Tomas Börjesson, directeur financier de Swecon, qui a choisi de prendre sa retraite.

Volvo Construction Equipment has reached a new strategic milestone in Europe with the acquisition of Swecon Group, its largest distributor on the continent. Finalized on January 31, following approval from the European Commission, this transaction marks a major turning point in the development of the Volvo CE network.

The agreement includes all of Swecon's operations in Sweden, Germany, and the Baltic countries, as well as Entrack, a specialist in undercarriage and ground-engaging tools, which will be integrated into the group in September 2024. The entire value chain is now joining Volvo CE: sales of machines and services, rental, aftermarket support, as well as offices, workshops, and operational infrastructure.

With this acquisition, 1,400 employees are joining the Volvo CE teams, further strengthening customer proximity and the group's ability to offer comprehensive and integrated service in key European markets.

To support this new momentum, Tomas Kuta has been appointed head of the entity. Formerly Volvo CE's sales manager for the Asia region, he will officially take up his position on March 1st, succeeding Tomas Börjesson, Swecon's Chief Financial Officer, who has chosen to retire.
