Le rôle d’Euro NCAP

Créé en 1996, Euro NCAP est rapidement devenu le standard européen d’évaluation de la sécurité des voitures particulières. Son extension aux poids lourds reflète l’importance grandissante de ce segment dans la sécurité routière.

Dans le cas des camions, les critères analysés vont au-delà des simples crash-tests :

Conduite sûre : vision directe et indirecte, assistance à la vitesse, suivi de l’attention du conducteur ;

Évitement des collisions : prévention des chocs frontaux (voiture, piéton, cycliste), collisions à basse vitesse et sorties de voie ;

Post-accident : mise à disposition d’informations pour le secours.
