À Anvers, l’un des plus ambitieux chantiers industriels d’Europe change peu à peu de visage. Au cœur d’INEOS Project ONE, où l’industrie pétrochimique européenne prépare sa prochaine génération, Sarens a déployé cinq nouvelles grues tout-terrain Grove : quatre GRT8100-1 de 100 tonnes et une GRT780 de 80 tonnes.

Fabriquées à Niella Tanaro, en Italie, les machines sont soutenues par les équipes Manitowoc de Breda, aux Pays-Bas. Mais leur véritable défi se trouve quelques kilomètres plus loin : participer à l’assemblage d’un complexe où certains modules atteignent 6 000 tonnes, 50 mètres de longueur, 40 mètres de largeur et 60 mètres de hauteur.

Project ONE repose sur une logique industrielle spectaculaire : construire une partie des installations ailleurs, puis les acheminer par mer jusqu’à Anvers pour les assembler sur site. Sarens intervient au cœur de cette mécanique, de l’acheminement au levage, jusqu’à l’installation de précision des éléments du complexe.

Sur le terrain, les GRT8100-1 disposent d’une flèche principale de 47 mètres et d’une extension hydraulique bi-pliante pouvant atteindre 17,1 mètres. Cabine inclinable à 20 degrés, quatre caméras embarquées et système d’appui MAXbase™ offrent aux opérateurs davantage de visibilité et de flexibilité, notamment lorsque les conditions de levage deviennent complexes.

La GRT780 ajoute une autre dimension : sa capacité à déplacer des charges allant jusqu’à 15,2 tonnes sur le crochet, transformant la grue en véritable outil de mobilité sur chantier.

Derrière les commandes, la technologie joue également un rôle discret mais décisif. Le Crane Control System de Manitowoc simplifie le pilotage, tandis que Grove CONNECT™ permet le diagnostic à distance, le suivi des machines et la planification de la maintenance.

Dans un projet où chaque heure d’immobilisation peut ralentir une chaîne logistique gigantesque, cette connectivité devient aussi importante que la capacité de levage.

À Anvers, les Grove de Sarens ne sont donc pas simplement de nouvelles grues dans une flotte. Elles deviennent les rouages mobiles d’une transformation industrielle majeure — là où la puissance de levage, la précision et la technologie doivent avancer au même rythme.

In Antwerp, one of Europe’s most ambitious industrial projects is gradually taking shape. At the heart of INEOS Project ONE, where the European petrochemical industry is preparing its next generation, Sarens has deployed five new Grove all-terrain cranes: four 100-tonne GRT8100-1s and one 80-tonne GRT780.

Manufactured in Niella Tanaro, Italy, the machines are supported by the Manitowoc teams in Breda, the Netherlands. But their real challenge lies a few kilometers away: participating in the assembly of a complex where some modules reach 6,000 tonnes, 50 meters in length, 40 meters in width, and 60 meters in height.

Project ONE is based on a spectacular industrial logic: constructing part of the facilities elsewhere, then transporting them by sea to Antwerp for on-site assembly. Sarens plays a central role in this process, from transport and lifting to the precise installation of the complex's components.

In the field, the GRT8100-1 cranes feature a 47-meter main boom and a bi-folding hydraulic extension that can reach 17.1 meters. A cab that tilts up to 20 degrees, four onboard cameras, and the MAXbase™ support system provide operators with greater visibility and flexibility, especially when lifting conditions become complex.

The GRT780 adds another dimension: its ability to move loads of up to 15.2 tons on the hook, transforming the crane into a true mobility tool on the job site.

Behind the controls, technology also plays a discreet but crucial role. Manitowoc's Crane Control System simplifies operation, while Grove CONNECT™ enables remote diagnostics, machine monitoring, and maintenance planning.

In a project where every hour of downtime can slow down a massive supply chain, this connectivity becomes as important as lifting capacity.

In Antwerp, Sarens' Grove cranes are therefore not simply new additions to a fleet. They are becoming the moving parts of a major industrial transformation—where lifting power, precision, and technology must advance in tandem.

In het hart van INEOS Project ONE, waar de Europese petrochemische industrie zich voorbereidt op de volgende generatie, heeft Sarens vijf nieuwe Grove-terreinkranen ingezet: vier GRT8100-1's van 100 ton en één GRT780 van 80 ton.

De machines, gefabriceerd in Niella Tanaro, Italië, worden ondersteund door de teams van Manitowoc in Breda, Nederland. Maar hun echte uitdaging ligt een paar kilometer verderop: deelname aan de montage van een complex waarvan sommige modules 6.000 ton wegen, 50 meter lang, 40 meter breed en 60 meter hoog zijn.

De GRT780 voegt daar nog een dimensie aan toe: het vermogen om lasten tot 15,2 ton aan de haak te verplaatsen, waardoor de kraan een echt mobiliteitsinstrument op de bouwplaats wordt.

Achter de bedieningselementen speelt technologie ook een discrete maar cruciale rol. Manitowoc's Crane Control System vereenvoudigt de bediening, terwijl Grove CONNECT™ diagnose op afstand, machinebewaking en onderhoudsplanning mogelijk maakt.

In een project waar elk uur stilstand een enorme toeleveringsketen kan vertragen, is deze connectiviteit net zo belangrijk als het hijsvermogen.
