Le premier camion à ordures électrique Scania est arrivé dans les rues de Singapour.
Le 14 juin, l'entreprise de recyclage et de services environnementaux ALBA W&H Smart City a pris livraison du premier des 15 camions électriques à batterie de la série L, ce qui permettra de réduire considérablement les émissions de CO2 dans les services quotidiens de collecte des déchets de l'entreprise.
La livraison du camion initial a eu lieu lors d'une cérémonie de passation spéciale dans la ville-État insulaire, où des représentants de l'ALBA et de Scania ont été rejoints par le Dr Amy Khor, ministre d'État principal de Singapour pour la durabilité et l'environnement.
Le gouvernement de Singapour a adopté une approche très progressive du transport durable, pour encourager les premiers à adopter le marché des véhicules électriques, en particulier dans la collecte des déchets. Par exemple, le pays a défini son objectif de durabilité nationale, y compris son plan directeur zéro déchet, tandis que toute entreprise souhaitant participer à un appel d'offres pour la collecte des déchets doit disposer d'une flotte électrique à au moins 30 %.
C'est une combinaison de cette réglementation sur les appels d'offres publics et des propres objectifs de durabilité de l'ALBA qui a conduit l'entreprise à rechercher le bon camion pour ses collectes quotidiennes dans la région de Woodlands-Yishun de la ville.
L'ALBA a choisi Scania plutôt que les solutions d'autres constructeurs de camions, car la cabine à accès surbaissé, le chargeur arrière et les neuf batteries de 297 kWh installées de Scania en font un remplacement unique « haut de gamme » pour ses véhicules diesel existants.
Le camion devrait économiser 2 700 kg d'émissions de CO2 par an
Alors que les capacités de marché secondaire, d'atelier et d'analyse que Scania peut offrir ont également été essentielles pour remporter le contrat, c'est l'atténuation environnementale du véhicule électrique qui se démarque particulièrement.
En moyenne, la flotte actuelle d'ALBA utilise 200 litres de diesel par jour, ce qui se traduit par 500 kg d'émissions de CO2 par jour. En électrifiant 15 camions, l'ALBA économisera 2 700 kg d'émissions de CO2 par an, et l'entreprise espère atteindre une réduction impressionnante de 20 % des émissions de CO2 en seulement un an de déploiement.
« Nous sommes ravis de fournir nos camions électriques à batterie à ALBA W&H Smart City, une entreprise qui partage le fort engagement de Scania en faveur du transport durable », déclare Heba El Tarifi, directrice générale de Scania Asie du Sud-Est.
« Cet accord a mis un an à se préparer, et cette première livraison de camion électrique est une véritable étape importante pour Scania à Singapour et dans la région au sens large. Avec des affaires supplémentaires en place et un intérêt accru d'autres clients, nous constatons maintenant un véritable élan vers l'électrification des transports. »
Au total, 15 camions électriques à batterie Scania seront livrés au cours du troisième trimestre 2023, une fois que des modifications spécifiques à la collecte des déchets auront été apportées par les sociétés de carrossiers Zenith et Megafab basées à Singapour. Les installations de recharge de dépôt d'ALBA sont fabriquées par EVone Charging.

The first Scania electric waste truck has hit the streets of Singapore.
On June 14, the ALBA W&H Smart City recycling and environmental services company took delivery of the first of what will be 15 L-series battery-electric trucks, which will enable significant CO2 reductions in the company’s daily waste collection services.
The delivery of the initial truck took place at a special handover ceremony in the island city state, where representatives of ALBA and Scania were joined by Dr. Amy Khor, Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment.
The Singapore Government has taken a very progressive approach to sustainable transport, to encourage early adopters in the electric vehicle market, particularly in waste collection. For example, the country has set out its goal for national sustainability including its Zero Waste Masterplan, while any company that wishes to take part in a tender for waste collection is required to have a fleet which is at least 30 percent electric.
It was a combination of this public tender regulation and ALBA’s own sustainability targets that led the company to look for the right truck for its daily collections in the city’s Woodlands-Yishun area.
ALBA chose Scania over other truck manufacturers’ solutions because Scania’s low-entry cab, rear loader and nine batteries with 297kW hours installed makes it a one-to-one ‘top of the line’ replacement for its existing diesel vehicles.
Truck projected to save 2,700kg of CO2 emissions a year
While the aftermarket, workshop and analytical capabilities Scania can offer were also key to winning the contract, it’s the electric vehicle’s environmental mitigation that especially stands out.
On average, ALBA’s current fleet uses 200 litres of diesel a day, which translates to 500kg of CO2 emissions per day. By electrifying 15 trucks, ALBA will save 2,700 kg of CO2 emissions a year, and the company expects to achieve an impressive 20 percent reduction in CO2 emissions within just a year of deployment.

“This agreement has been a year in the making, and this first electric truck delivery is a true milestone for Scania in Singapore and the wider region. With additional business in place and further interest from other customers, we’re now seeing real momentum towards transport electrification.”
A total of 15 Scania battery-electric trucks will be delivered during Q3 of 2023, once specific modifications for waste collection have been made by Singapore-based bodybuilder companies Zenith and Megafab. ALBA’s depot charging facilities are being manufactured by EVone Charging.

De eerste Scania elektrische vuilniswagen is door de straten van Singapore gereden.
Op 14 juni nam het recycling- en milieuservicebedrijf ALBA W&H Smart City de eerste van de 15 batterij-elektrische vrachtwagens uit de L-serie in ontvangst, die een aanzienlijke CO2-reductie in de dagelijkse afvalophaaldiensten van het bedrijf mogelijk zullen maken.
De aflevering van de eerste truck vond plaats tijdens een speciale overdrachtsceremonie in de eilandstaat, waar vertegenwoordigers van ALBA en Scania werden vergezeld door Dr. Amy Khor, Singapore's Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment.
De regering van Singapore heeft een zeer vooruitstrevende benadering van duurzaam vervoer gekozen om early adopters op de markt voor elektrische voertuigen aan te moedigen, met name op het gebied van afvalinzameling. ALBA verkoos Scania boven de oplossingen van andere vrachtwagenfabrikanten omdat Scania's lage instapcabine, achterlader en negen batterijen met 297kW uur geïnstalleerd het een één-op-één 'topklasse'-vervanging maken voor zijn bestaande dieselvoertuigen.
Truck bespaart naar verwachting 2.700 kg CO2-uitstoot per jaar
Hoewel de aftermarket, de werkplaats en de analytische capaciteiten die Scania kan bieden ook essentieel waren voor het binnenhalen van het contract, viel vooral de milieuvriendelijkheid van de elektrische auto op.
Gemiddeld gebruikt de huidige vloot van ALBA 200 liter diesel per dag, wat neerkomt op 500 kg CO2-uitstoot per dag. Door 15 vrachtwagens te elektrificeren, zal ALBA 2.700 kg CO2-uitstoot per jaar besparen, en het bedrijf verwacht binnen een jaar na de implementatie een indrukwekkende vermindering van 20 procent in CO2-uitstoot te bereiken.

In het derde kwartaal van 2023 zullen in totaal 15 Scania batterij-elektrische vrachtwagens worden geleverd, zodra specifieke aanpassingen voor afvalinzameling zijn aangebracht door de in Singapore gevestigde carrosseriebedrijven Zenith en Megafab. ALBA's depotlaadfaciliteiten worden geproduceerd door EVone Charging.
