Zeppelin Rental a publié ses chiffres financiers pour l'année 2022, générant un chiffre d'affaires de 666 millions d'euros, contre 576 millions d'euros en 2021.
Les résultats financiers de l'entreprise ont été publiés avec ceux de sa société mère Zeppelin Group, qui a qualifié de "réussie" la performance de son chiffre d'affaires de 3,8 milliards d'euros pour 2022.
Peter Gerstmann, président du conseil d'administration du groupe Zeppelin, a déclaré : « Malgré les défis particuliers auxquels nous avons été confrontés, en particulier la guerre contre l'Ukraine et ses effets, le cadre politique parfois difficile sur certains marchés, le comportement des prix très dynamique et la persistance goulots d'étranglement d'approvisionnement chez nos partenaires de fabrication et nos fournisseurs, nous avons obtenu un résultat remarquable grâce à la force combinée et au grand engagement de nos employés.
Selon le Groupe, Zeppelin Rental devrait connaître une croissance plus importante au cours de la prochaine année et augmentera son offre de produits et services temporaires et flexibles.
"La gamme de services, qui comprend aussi bien les petits appareils que la logistique pour les chantiers complexes et l'organisation d'événements de grande envergure, ouvre diverses opportunités de développement intéressantes", a déclaré Zeppelin Group.
Alors que l'entreprise prédit un ralentissement continu de l'industrie de la construction au sens large et du marché des équipements de construction en conséquence, Zeppelin déclare que "la grande population de machines et de moteurs fournit une base solide pour l'activité de services".
La solide performance de son activité de location a été démontrée au salon de la construction Bauma à Munich, en Allemagne, l'année dernière. Au cours de l'événement, il a obtenu des commandes d'une valeur de plus de 70 millions d'euros, soit le double du chiffre atteint à Bauma 2019.
Bien que 2022 ait également vu l'entreprise prendre plusieurs mesures pour augmenter sa part de marché dans la région nordique en se concentrant sur la croissance en Suède et au Danemark, "la guerre d'agression russe contre l'Ukraine" signifie que le groupe Zeppelin anticipe désormais également les tensions liées à la guerre en 2023 .
"Alors que Zeppelin remplit actuellement ses obligations locales de service et de maintenance en Russie dans le strict respect des sanctions et conformément à ses obligations contractuelles envers son partenaire constructeur Caterpillar", a déclaré Zeppelin Group.
"L'hypothèse est que les affaires en Russie ne peuvent pas être poursuivies, de manière permanente."
Par conséquent, comme sa société mère et des milliers d'autres entreprises, Zeppelin Rental applique une approche prudente à ses opérations en Autriche, en Slovaquie, en République tchèque, en Suède et au Danemark.

‘Successful’ year for Zeppelin Rental

Zeppelin Rental has reported its 2022 full year financial figures, bringing in €666 million in revenues, compared to €576 million in 2021.
The company’s financial results were published with those of its parent company Zeppelin Group, which described its €3.8 billion group sales performance for 2022 as “successful”.
Peter Gerstmann, Chairman of the Management Board of the Zeppelin Group, said, “Despite the particular challenges we have faced, especially the war against Ukraine and its effects, the sometimes-challenging political framework on some markets, highly dynamic price behavior, and persistent supply bottlenecks among our manufacturing partners and suppliers, we have achieved a remarkable result thanks to the combined strength and great commitment of our employees.”
According to the Group, Zeppelin Rental is set to achieve more growth over the next year and will increase its offering of temporary and flexible products and services.
“The range of services, which includes small devices as well as logistics for complex construction sites and the organisation of large-scale events, opens up various interesting development opportunities,” said Zeppelin Group.
While the company is predicting a continued slowdown of the wider construction industry, and the construction equipment market as a consequence, Zeppelin says “the large population of machines and engines provides a solid basis for the service business”.
The strong performance of its rental business was demonstrated at Bauma construction exhibition in Munich, Germany last year. During the event it secured orders worth over €70 million - double the figure it achieved at Bauma 2019.
Although 2022 also saw the company make several moves to increase its market share in the Nordic region by focusing on growth in Sweden and Denmark, “the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine” means that Zeppelin Group is now also anticipating war-related stresses in 2023.
“While Zeppelin is currently fulfilling its local service and maintenance obligations in Russia in strict compliance with sanctions and in accordance with its contractual obligations to its manufacturer partner Caterpillar,” said Zeppelin Group.
“The assumption is that business in Russia cannot be continued, on a permanent basis.”
Therefore, like its parent company and thousands of other businesses, Zeppelin Rental is applying a cautious approach to its operations in Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Denmark.
“Really, nobody knows what will happen next year in Germany or in Europe,” said Zeppelin Rental’s COO Peter Schrader when speaking to IRN at Bauma last year. “Given the current political and economic situation, everything can change every day.”

'Succesvol' jaar voor Zeppelin Rental

Zeppelin Rental heeft de financiële cijfers voor het volledige jaar 2022 bekendgemaakt, met een omzet van € 666 miljoen, vergeleken met € 576 miljoen in 2021.
De financiële resultaten van het bedrijf werden gepubliceerd samen met die van het moederbedrijf Zeppelin Group, dat de groepsomzet van € 3,8 miljard voor 2022 omschreef als "succesvol".

Terwijl het bedrijf een aanhoudende vertraging van de bredere bouwsector en als gevolg daarvan de markt voor bouwmachines voorspelt, zegt Zeppelin dat "de grote populatie machines en motoren een solide basis vormt voor de serviceactiviteiten".
De sterke prestaties van de verhuuractiviteiten werden vorig jaar gedemonstreerd op de bouwbeurs Bauma in München, Duitsland. Tijdens het evenement haalde het orders ter waarde van meer dan € 70 miljoen binnen - het dubbele van het aantal dat het op Bauma 2019 behaalde.
