Cette avancée géographique s’accompagne d’une montée en puissance notable : les revenus internationaux ont bondi de 70 % sur un an et représentent désormais plus d’un quart de l’activité du groupe. Un signal clair que l’international n’est plus un relais secondaire, mais un pilier stratégique.

Pression domestique, levier international

Sur son marché d’origine, la dynamique reste plus contrastée. Le premier trimestre affiche un recul global du chiffre d’affaires de 5 %, dans un contexte marqué par une pression sur les prix de location et un ralentissement saisonnier autour du Nouvel An chinois.

Pour autant, les fondamentaux opérationnels se redressent progressivement. Le taux d’utilisation de la flotte de plateformes élévatrices atteint 78 % en fin de trimestre, traduisant une reprise graduelle de la demande domestique. La perte enregistrée se réduit également, signe d’un ajustement en cours.

Une puissance industrielle à grande échelle

Avec plus de 200 000 plateformes élévatrices en flotte et un réseau de 559 dépôts — dont 77 à l’international — Horizon s’impose comme l’un des acteurs les plus structurés du secteur.

Sa présence s’étend désormais bien au-delà de la Chine, couvrant l’Asie du Sud-Est, le Moyen-Orient et, de plus en plus, l’Afrique et l’Asie centrale. Cette diversification géographique permet au groupe d’amortir les cycles locaux tout en captant de nouvelles opportunités liées aux grands projets d’infrastructure.

Vers un modèle globalisé de la location

Au-delà des chiffres, l’évolution d’Horizon illustre une tendance de fond : la globalisation accélérée du marché de la location d’équipements. Là où le secteur était historiquement fragmenté et localisé, il s’oriente désormais vers des modèles intégrés, capables d’opérer sur plusieurs continents avec des standards homogènes.

These three locations are not insignificant. They are situated at the crossroads of dynamic economic corridors, between a rapidly urbanizing Africa and a developing Central Asia.

This geographic expansion is accompanied by a significant increase in activity: international revenues have jumped 70% year-on-year and now represent more than a quarter of the group's business. This is a clear signal that international operations are no longer a secondary channel, but a strategic pillar.

Domestic Pressure, International Leverage

In its home market, the dynamics remain more mixed. The first quarter shows an overall decline in revenue of 5%, in a context marked by pressure on rental prices and a seasonal slowdown around the Chinese New Year.

However, operational fundamentals are gradually recovering. The utilization rate of the aerial work platform fleet reached 78% at the end of the quarter, reflecting a gradual recovery in domestic demand. The recorded loss also decreased, indicating an ongoing adjustment.

Large-Scale Industrial Powerhouse

With over 200,000 aerial work platforms in its fleet and a network of 559 depots—77 of which are international—Horizon has established itself as one of the most structured players in the sector.

Its presence now extends well beyond China, covering Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and increasingly, Africa and Central Asia. This geographic diversification allows the group to mitigate local market cycles while seizing new opportunities related to major infrastructure projects.

Beyond the figures, Horizon's performance illustrates a fundamental trend: the accelerated globalization of the equipment rental market. Leveraging its industrial capacity, logistics, and operational expertise, Horizon is gradually transforming its core identity. From a domestic leader, it is becoming a global player, able to support projects wherever they emerge.
