Uzbekistan: Tashkent, a New Industrial Hub for Construction in Central Asia

From September 16 to 18, 2026, Tashkent brought together international players in coatings, industrial chemicals, cement, and concrete around a common goal: to support the growth of the Uzbek construction market. More than 100 companies from over ten countries participated in the Uzbekistan Coatings Show, Uzbekistan Chemical Show, and Uzbekistan Concrete Show, welcoming more than 4,500 trade visitors to some 5,000 square meters of exhibition space.
Behind this mobilization lies a market undergoing rapid transformation. In the first seven months of 2026, construction activity in Uzbekistan reached 227.4 trillion soms, a 12.9% year-on-year increase. The capital, Tashkent, concentrates a major share of this activity, attracting manufacturers, raw material suppliers, and production technology specialists.

But the stakes now go beyond simply increasing volumes. With cement production projected to reach 21.5 million tons in 2025, exceeding domestic demand estimated at 19.9 million tons, the local industry is entering a new phase: improving productivity, automating facilities, developing higher value-added materials, and conquering new regional markets.
The three trade fairs thus highlighted a complete industrial ecosystem, from resins and pigments to chemical admixtures, including processing equipment, packaging systems, and concrete technologies. Technical conferences, demonstrations, and practical workshops also fostered exchanges between manufacturers, engineers, and policymakers. At the crossroads of several Central Asian markets, Uzbekistan intends to strengthen its position in regional supply chains. For international equipment manufacturers and suppliers, Tashkent is becoming a strategic meeting point where the growth of the construction sector is accompanied by a broader ambition: to produce better, process more, and export more.

Next event: the three events will return to Tashkent from September 15 to 17, 2027, at Anhor Park.
