In Bologna, from October 7 to 10, 2026, the Wirtgen Group will not simply be exhibiting machines. They will be presenting a new way of building roads: smarter, more precise, more flexible, and ever more resource-efficient.
Under the theme “Roads to the Future,” five leading brands — Wirtgen, Vögele, Hamm, Kleemann, and Benninghoven — will combine their technologies at Asphaltica 2026, with a clear ambition: to do more with less.
Three Premieres That Set the Tone
At the heart of this demonstration, three new products immediately stand out.
The compact and agile Vögele SUPER 800-5 P inaugurates a new generation of Mini Class pavers. Designed for confined sites, it combines panoramic visibility, ergonomics, and precision to transform challenging spaces into true performance environments.
At Hamm, the HC 200i C VA with Smart Compact introduces a new vision of compaction. The machine automatically adapts its energy to soil conditions to achieve the target value with fewer passes, less wear, and controlled resource consumption.
Then comes Kleemann and its MOBIREX MR 100 NEOe. Fully electric, this impact crusher operates with zero local emissions. Mobile, compact, and versatile, it opens up new possibilities for both quarry materials and the recycling of concrete, rubble, and reclaimed asphalt.
Recycle. Optimize. Reinvent.
But the story doesn't end there.
With the Wirtgen W 200 Fi, milling enters a new digital dimension: productivity, resource consumption, and site documentation are all integrated into a single intelligent ecosystem.
The WRC 240 X continues this trend by directly processing materials on-site, with a capacity of up to 600 tons per hour.
And at Benninghoven, one technology alone could symbolize the industry's energy transition: the MULTI JET burner, capable of running on 100% green hydrogen for drying and heating materials, paving the way for asphalt production with zero CO₂ emissions related to this step.
When the machine becomes intelligent
The other revolution is invisible, but essential: data.
With Smart Compact Pro, Hamm's Realtime Density Scan, and the John Deere Operations Center™, the construction site becomes connected, measurable, and analyzable in real time.
Asphalt density can be monitored across the entire surface. Machines can be tracked, operations planned, and maintenance anticipated.
Technology is no longer just replacing machine power; it's transforming how construction sites are managed.
A vision for the next generation
At Asphaltica 2026, the Wirtgen Group is showcasing much more than just a range of new products.
It's proposing a vision where recycling, electrification, automation, hydrogen, and digital intelligence work together to meet a common challenge: building the infrastructure of tomorrow while consuming fewer resources today.
“Roads to the Future” is therefore not just a slogan.
It's a direction.
