Début des travaux sur le tunnel ferroviaire "le plus long du monde"

L'entrepreneur italien Webuild a commencé les travaux sur l'une des plus grandes sections du tunnel de base du Brenner reliant l'Autriche à l'Italie.

Le tronçon Gola del Sill - Pfons (lot H41) comprend un total de 22,5 km de tunnels ferroviaires parallèles jumeaux entre Gola del Sill, près de la ville alpine d'Innsbruck au nord, et la ville de Pfons, plus au sud.

Le projet du tunnel de base du Brenner sous les Alpes fait partie du corridor scandinave-méditerranéen du réseau transeuropéen de transport (RTE-T) et, une fois achevé, il sera le plus long tunnel ferroviaire du monde à 64 km.

Le tunnel est construit par Webuild et sa filiale suisse, CSC Costruzioni, dans le cadre d'une joint-venture à 50-50 avec son partenaire Implenia.

La joint-venture s'est vu attribuer le contrat par BBT SE, une société anonyme européenne créée pour le développement du tunnel.

Le tronçon Gola del Sill - Pfons de 22,5 km comprendra 38 passages de communication plus des tunnels d'accès, des tunnels d'exploration et un arrêt d'urgence souterrain à Innsbruck. Le contrat comprend également un nouveau pont à construire sur l'autoroute Brennero A13.

Webuild s'attend à ce que cette partie du projet crée jusqu'à 400 emplois directs et plus de 1 000 emplois dans la chaîne d'approvisionnement.

Webuild travaille déjà sur d'autres tronçons du tunnel de base du Brenner, notamment le passage inférieur de la rivière Isarco et Mules 2 – 3 en Italie, après avoir achevé Tulfes – Pfons en Autriche. Il construit également les voies ferrées entre Fortezza et Ponte Gardena, au sud du tunnel.

L'entreprise et ses filiales travaillent sur 15 projets qui feront partie du réseau RTE-T. Ensemble, ils totalisent environ 400 km de routes et de voies ferrées reliant cinq corridors de transport à travers l'Europe.

Work starts on 'world’s longest' rail tunnel

Italian contractor Webuild has started work on one of the biggest sections of the Brenner Base Tunnel linking Austria with Italy.

The Gola del Sill – Pfons section (Lot H41) involves a total of 22.5km of twin parallel railway tunnels between Gola del Sill, near the Alpine city of Innsbruck in the north, to the Town of Pfons, further south.

The Brenner Base Tunnel project underneath the Alps is part of the Scandinavia-Mediterranean corridor of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and, when completed, will be the longest railway tunnel in the world at 64km.

The tunnel is being built by Webuild and its Swiss subsidiary, CSC Costruzioni in a 50-50 joint venture with partner Implenia.

The joint-venture was awarded the contract by BBT SE, a European public limited company created for the development of the tunnel.

The 22.5km Gola del Sill – Pfons section will include 38 cross-passages plus access tunnels, exploratory tunnels and an underground emergency stop at Innsbruck. The contract also includes a new bridge to be built over the Brennero A13 highway.

Webuild expects this section of the project to create up to 400 direct jobs and more than 1,000 jobs across the supply chain.

Webuild is already working on other sections of the Brenner Base Tunnel, including the Isarco River underpass and Mules 2 – 3 in Italy, having completed Tulfes – Pfons in Austria. It is also building the railways between Fortezza and Ponte Gardena, south of the tunnel.

The company and its subsidiaries are working on 15 projects what will become part of the TEN-T network. Together these total about 400km of roads and railways linking five transport corridors across Europe.

Start werkzaamheden aan 's werelds langste spoortunnel

De Italiaanse aannemer Webuild is begonnen met de werkzaamheden aan een van de grootste delen van de Brenner-basistunnel die Oostenrijk met Italië verbindt.

Het traject Gola del Sill – Pfons (Lot H41) omvat in totaal 22,5 km dubbele parallelle spoortunnels tussen Gola del Sill, nabij de Alpenstad Innsbruck in het noorden, tot de stad Pfons, verder naar het zuiden.

Het Brenner-basistunnelproject onder de Alpen maakt deel uit van de Scandinavië-mediterrane corridor van het trans-Europese transportnetwerk (TEN-T) en zal, wanneer voltooid, met 64 km de langste spoortunnel ter wereld zijn.

De tunnel wordt gebouwd door Webuild en haar Zwitserse dochteronderneming CSC Costruzioni in een 50-50 joint venture met partner Implenia.

De joint venture kreeg het contract toegewezen door BBT SE, een Europese naamloze vennootschap die is opgericht voor de ontwikkeling van de tunnel.

Het 22,5 km lange traject Gola del Sill – Pfons omvat 38 doorgangen plus toegangstunnels, verkenningstunnels en een ondergrondse noodstop in Innsbruck. Het contract omvat ook de bouw van een nieuwe brug over de Brennero A13-snelweg.

Webuild verwacht dat dit deel van het project tot 400 directe banen en meer dan 1.000 banen in de toeleveringsketen zal creëren.
